so i posted a couple weeks ago about putting a 66 on my giant faith, but scrap that...

i'm just gonna be getting a new bike! ha. my shop carries scott, specialized, rocky mountain, and felt. i want it for freeriding, definitely want it to be able to take hits, but also want a bike that is gonna corner and be really fast. riding tahoe and northstar and trails around reno.

So basically out of those companies what big hit bike would you guys pick?

so far i'm looking into the gambler the most. but i know i could always go with specialized and their large selection, and rocky just came out with the flatline.

i'd say decide how much travel you need, gambler is quite awesome since you can change travel, angles, and all that jazz much more than the other bikes. on the other hand flatline pro gives me a boner with all the curvy tubing it has. spec is tried and true since they've been refining the demo compared to the other two which are brand new designs. i would say, unless you can find out how one of those bikes is better than the other for what your gonna do, go with the one you like the most or have to pay the least for.

I like the Gambler and have had no problems with the frame. I think it has a stiffer rear end than the other 2 mentioned but I ride for Scott so I am a bit biased. Here is a pic of mine.
