It's such a great feeling. I'm still getting the basics stuff dialed, but I'm actually focusing on trying to learn stuff for once (instead of just dicking around). Today's accomplishment: bunny hop 180's. Yea yea its nothing earth shattering, but I'm stoked.

I started opposite 180's (turn to the right, the way I'm really supposed to by the book) a few weeks ago. I got the hops/180s no problem, struggling with the roll out though. It's much tougher doing stuff opposite when you've been doing it the same way for years...half cabs kicked my butt too but I think I'm getting them, just not opposite...

Why don't you ride street?
No good reason really, except that I like riding and am better at riding trails. I spend most of my free time doing that. I'm not really into a lot of the tech street stuff... I'd rather be flying through the air. I have tons of respect for people that are good at it, though.

I've been learning alot of new things to. I got bunnyhop barspins pretty well, but I am currently learning them over a wedge. That is damn hard. I've been working on 540 tailtaps but those are just super hard. Working on my airs as well.

I'm moving to Woodward West in early June so by the time I leave mid-August I'm sure I'll have a big bag or tricks.

learning new stuff is the best. 180's are oh so fun. love doing them down stair sets. bigger ones are scary but so fun. i don't have a huge bag of tricks at all personally, i just take the stuff i know and open it up on new lines i find. wouldn't mind learning a few more though.

180's are funny. When I learned them regular i could never pop them, but when I learned them opposite I seem to float a lot better. If I'm 180ing up something (or down for that matter) I prefer opposite. Much to my chagrin I learned tailwhips and x-ups opposite as well, and trying to learn them the other way is a pain.

Tricks are fun, though, which ever way you do them

Quoted for truth. Get them dialed then they are super fun. You can throw them into ANY line.
I wanna get them down, but haven't gotten around to it. Mostly cause I'm riding a frame with a 21.5tt and have basically no foot/tire clearance, so I have to keep my front foot pointed up alot in order to clear the tire when it comes around. I wish I had gotten the long frame...:banghead:

Hey man I had the same problem with my p2 a while ago. I just got a 1.95 tire up front and now I can do them all day. but its kinda scarry because I always seem to hit my foot when I x-up on jump

Indeed, seems that it would be hard to find a good tire in that size as well. My foot always buzzes the front tire on x-ups, but when I pinch the seat to throw a barspin I am leaning back more so my foot usually seems to be out of the way.

Work on 180 G-turns.... lean forward and weight up the front wheel, then whip the back end around. Super fun, and a smooth way to 180 once you get 'em down.

When I learned them I knocked my rear wheel out of true a few times, but once you get them it is super fun. The only downside is, it's a trick that is hard to put into a line.

yep, one of my favorite moves. faster you go, easier they are. I like putting those into to combo moves like nose pivot to fakie hop to half cab out. not too tech, just a lot of fun...

so I've been riding a ton again lately. As of late I've been getting rear tire stalls dialed, and have been working throwing in some fakie riding into lines - wanna get better at this, a LOT better. Rode a kid's bike with a freecoaster last night. It was really cool (something I've been considering getting), but hhis bike was brakeless so it kinda freaked me out.

Also been getting better at manualing, whick I'm pretty stoked on. I've been considering getting a proper sized frame for myself. I'm on a 20.5", but I need a 21".

riding is sparse this winter. i've just been riding my bmx at this spot under an overpass. its always dry for the most part. fun bank to wallride if you wanna wild out. freecoasters makes little tech things fun, i'm stoked on mine. i pulled a couple fakie hops over some obstacles. trying to improve footjams too.
