Blow out, looked like the valve failed. Cant tell for sure, I shredded the tube.

I ride through a Scottsdale golf course after leaving the office and have taken up the hobby of stopping to pick lost golf balls knowing where most people slice into and are scared to go as the rattlesnakes are out. I found 2 Nikes and 2 Titleists today and considered myself lucky. I then rode on and saw many, many dead animals. Mostly birds, as it's getting hot down here, and that's not uncommon, but thought of it as an omen. I decided to be extra cautious rolling into Phoenix, and even so almost got killed.
Oh yea, my point was that if I have a golf ball in my DH cargo shorts pocket, I can easily launch it at a car if necessary, and the evidence is 4 blocks away if the police become involved.
Well I guess thats better than using a knife!!!!! I used to live out there so I know all about commuting in that wonderfull "Dry" heat!!!

There's actually 2 courses coming down the Greenbelt on Hayden I ride, but sidestepping Old Town and cutting through The Phoenician at about dusk is badass.
Think I know those coarses. Defently know Old town, dusk is awesome
You running metal valve stem caps? I've heard they can help slow the release should the valve open (due to inertia somethin somethin...)
