Holy crap,
From "Meet the press" to "Meet your maker" sucks to go young like that for sure. There was a gaffe recently where one of Hilary's campaign strategists was being interviewed by Russert, and made mention of Russert's father looking down from heaven...but Russert's dad is still alive. Must be rough on him for sure.

Holy Crap! I met him once way back in an earlier job - he was a very nice guy and one smart dude.
That sucks. And Rush Limbaugh is still alive. There is no justice.

RIP, Tim. Terrible thing to hear about one of the few good guys out there in medialand. My feelings to his family and colleagues.
My wife is just blown away by this. she really liked his show and how unbias he was.
One of the last true journalist, he came across, and was by all accounts, one of those guys you'd love to sit with, have a beer and just listen to him.
After the Boy Scout tragedy earlier this week and then a good guy like this gone, yet the thugs I see in Allentown all the time and Shaun Hannity still breathing, there is no malevolent God.

i find these 'state funerals' for tv new anchors a bit over the top...
He'll be giving the eulogy and trying to get pube clippings to clone the guy.
i thought they died right after Exit Stage Left..???
