seeding means nothing at world champs. some guys go fast while other cruise down and look at lines.
of course it's also possible that he is seeing first hand how flipping talented riders are outside the US. Not saying he's slow, but the depth of talent coming out of Europe, Australia, and NZ is pretty impressive.

Wow, Gee killed it! I'll be curious to see how it all transpires in a couple of days. It sure looks like a lot of guys are playing the tactic game and going for an early run and hoping for rain for the top-seeded guys. FWIW. Barel was 3rd fastest at the split.
Barel pulled a Lance Armstrong...feining weakness at Worlds.

Is that so? Interesting! When I got back from Maribor I remember thinking it was odd I hadn't noticed another laser after the rock garden, was it a guy with a button there too?
Also for the freecaster footage fraser, when we see the splits they put up e.g. showing Gee was 0.3 down in the middle of Andorra etc, are they in anyway accurate, or is it just some guy at the freecaster hub hitting "start" when they roll out of the gate and then hitting "split" when they think a rider is at a certain point?

is it just an IE thing? a super famous friend of mine who is way inside the industry said he watched them in explorer and they looked gross, but in firefox they were good. same experience for me. weird.

- Barel's split was good...Fraser, what's the forecast for Saturday? Those Frenchie's always seem to know when the weather changes (do they still have a million support people running around?)
