Saturday practice was sweet. I was really happy with how I was riding..Then Sunday happened! Not sure what my deal was but I rode like total crap. Only one practice run because of shuttle issues may have played into it! Two lame crashes and knee pad issues! Ethan also had a really crappy run with many mistakes but still managed to get 9th. Wonder what would have happened if he had a good run!!?? Todd blew his shock & crashed so he couldn't race. He said he tweeked his foot a bit from it too. You missed out on some fun racing. This course is pretty crazy!!! By far the most challenging course we have raced.

It always helps in a race when you get the plan from the evil council. They have a plan. And it's evil. It's so evil. It is a bad bad plan that will hurt many people. That are good.

Thanks everyone! This was by far the best steep, rooty, rocky, knarly dh course. There's almost no pedaling! I was having a blast practicing on Saturday. I was feeling like I really had a good shot at the podium. Everytime I'd come down I had the biggest smile on my face. Sunday's was a little different. The course got blown out a little and ton more roots exposed. It seemed like all the roots had a little glaze on them too. I had some great lines from Saturday that I wasn't able to do on Sunday. I only had one practice run on Sunday and then it was go time...I probly had one of the most disappointing race runs of my life. Wash outs, dragging my feet everywhere I felt demoralized while I slowly pedaled across the finish. Fortunetly, we had to go right away so i didn't get to see my results. Tuesday I found out how I did and couldn't believe it! So boys and girls, just cause you think you might be having a bad run doesn't mean you really are. So that's my story, great time, can't wait for next year. Oh isn't Betty a womans name?
