Welcome to the S club! Don't know it this is your first Audi but get ready for an extreme love/hate relationship. What kind of racks are you putting on it? Here's a crappy pic of my B5:

Is that the same thing as the rs6? I only ask because Im looking for the same thing but I cant find one in America.
The RS6 is a completely different car. It's based on Audi's "C" chasis (think that's what they call it) so it looks closer to an A6. IIRC it's never been available in the US as an Avant. It's also only available with their tiptronic transmission. But it is a twin turbo V8 so you can't to too wrong with that...

I guess the B6's are worse on gas? I normally get a minimum of 19-20mpg with a max of about 25 (when I take my roof racks off).

I have the yakima racks but I'm not in love with them. The king cobras are good attachments for bikes. I think with that beautiful nogaro you should consider a hitch mount. Some people on Audizine will make fun of you but it will keep your car scratch/dent free and shouldn't affect your mileage. Just my .02. I've been trying to get a hitch mount for awhile but haven't had the extra funds.

Nice car though! Welcome to the family! Any mods planned? Can't wait to take mine to Stg III. :D

That TT V6 in your B5 will indeed get better mileage than the big V8 in the B6 S4.

I want to see the new S engine...supercharged V6:

Very nice. I am looking to sell my GTI and get into something different. A B5 S4 is one of the few cars on the list. (Along with the Volvo S60R and the slightly less practical options of a Supra, SC300, or IS300.)

I LOVE the B5 but it's pretty freakin' unpractical. Watching your money disappear is no joke - but it's more on parts than anything else. I mean they're notorious for blowing turbos around the 100k mark and it's a $5-$6k for a DIY job (well...that IS for a Stg III upgrade). But there's no feeing like hitting WOT with your buddies in the backseat. :busted:

Having a new S4 would be sweet but I can't for the life of me figure out why they are detuning it and also making it look very BMW-like. I doubt they're gonna sell many of those with gas the way it is now. I wish they would focus on getting their diesel cars to the US.

ess pho 4 life!
that is funny you say that, I absolutely despise vanity plates but i am seriously considering a plate that says one of the two:

'ESSPHO'

or

'NOGARO'

i think 'NOGARO' is a little less moron sounding so ill prob go with that...what is wrong with me

Yeah there was a huge write up on wtf is audi doing with the s4 right now, it is in this odd funk as the little step brother to the RS4...It cant really compete with the M3 now but the RS can

i think they need to bring it back to a 6, i was in love with the 6 forever but the b5 platform was plagued with problems. I think the V8 is a more solid naturally aspirated platform

if you're interested i'm selling my yakima roof rack...q towers, 2 sprocketrocket bike racks, and fairing

it sat ontop of my outback for 2 years and i took it off when i sold the car, and i don't want to put it on my wrx...it will need new straps in the near future and everything has locks on it

i actually have both thule and yakima racks sitting at my place, just not sure how i want to mix and match them at this point...might actually go with a yakima boa or something a bit more minimal so it doesnt stick out to much on the car...god i wish i didnt need a rack...

i know guys who keep them on their cars because they like the look wtf

i know what you mean....there's no way i would ever put a roof rack on my wrx...it just won't happen...i kind of lucked out, and my parents sold me their 94 basic nissan pickup, so i built a bike rack for the back of that for next to nothing

S4 numbers should be around ~350bhp, those numbers are for the s/c V6 bound for the A6.

Nice car. Audis make the nicest cars on the road IMO.

Funny, however, these are the common car here in Euroland. Nice, but common. I love how it can go to the States and become exotic.
The same goes in reverse: We drool over American cars over here. You could take a beat-up old car from the states and everyone would stare at it here. A local has a Dodge Ram and it certainly gets the attention...
