So has anyone heard from Ryan or the folks there? What did they think of opening weekend?
Did they get the traffic (Sat & Sun) they expected?
What did the rain do to the trails?
What will they be addressing:
Immediately?
Long term?

On the immediate list they need to cut off the pedal catchers on the biggest of the 3 drops.

Waaaay out there

I looked at those from the chairlift and thought.....they will be less pi$$ed off about me moving them than the lawsuit that would follow an impact.

In a van down by the river.
I rode 26 today with the girlscout. It was a great,sunny,80 degree day. There were only 4 fricking people riding(including us). Ryan said that if the rider support stays low he'll be closed in a month. The DH is really fun right now and they are building new trails, don't let it die guys. It's up to all of us.

A few pics......

I hope the ridership increases. Sounds like You guys need and want this place. with the $$ of gas these days a little time will be needed to cultivate a local scene. I hope the mountain gives it more than a month to be profitable, like anyother buisness it will take some time before it will make money. stick with it and promote to locals.

i am new to ride monkey but i will throw my two cents in anyways. Ryan did a fantastic job with the trails and the shuttle situation which worked pretty good. Ethan Quehl and I drove up the weekend after the grand opening and it was a blast i even got a mouthful of dirt to remember it with. THANKS RYAN

The argument for driving down there from VA for some quality time there continues to gain strength..... thanks for posting that video. And as Huckaduck said... Flobots........ nice.....

Keep up the great work Ryan! Hopefully we'll meet in the near future.

No info on the "supposed" race this weekend (10/18)... I have friends from FL who were planning on attending (as I ) & we are now not going for this reason. I have tried over & over to email 26 to get info that is not posted on their website to no avail. (email address not valid as far as Yahoo is concerned & I cannot call them for work reasons this month). I heard about this event @ the DH race @ Paris Mtn. (Greenville SC) last mo. Would have reallly liked to make this event considering the low # of DH/ DS events around me that I can get to. Wanted to see the park for myself & hit some new dirt, hope it stays open. Wish they would update the website sometime...:nopity:

ryan put on an awesome event, especially considering he has a full time job and does all of this on the side, pro bono. plenty of info was available and plainly stated right here on RM, atleast that's how me and a slew of others made it. if you're going to talk **** without doing appropriate research, please do everyone a favor and hit yourself in the temple with a hammer, preferably a ballpeen

Post on EMPTYBEER says there's a Redbull collegiate race this coming weekend on the 7th. Too bad it's short notice. Hope this place opens soon.
