I have my mind set on rebuilding this bike.
Figured you would get a kick out of this. Should be a fun bike to mess around on when it's finished.
I just tore it apart last weekend and now this weekend I got everything sanded, primed, and some painted.
I got the forks, headset, frame, seat clamp, and some other thing primed.
And I got the swing arm and handle bars (not shown) painted.
Here's some pics so far.

Ordered Parts List:
Bottom Bracket - TruVativ Howitzer Team BB
Crankset - SS TruVativ Hussefelt 170mm
Tires - DMR Motos
Seat - Demolition D1 - orange
Break Levers - Poverty Freestyle Levers
Grips - Pro Taper Pillow Tops
-Half Link Chain
-SS kit
Maybe Ordering:
-New Pedals
-Seat Clamp
-Headset
-Handle Bars

Not in my experience... Too brittle and thin. Better to get that final coat done professionally. It will stay looking good for longer.

Don't know why I painted forks, I'm ordering a new set of forks in a week.

I wouldn't run that long of a stem on a dirt jumping bike. The shorter stem slows the stem slows the steering and makes it more stable. You're running more of XC length stem.

I would also hope that for that type of riding your buying an adjustable travel, air or stiff coil fork. Like a Pike.

right, that stem is just temporary.
and like i said earlier, I am getting a new fork for it.
i was thinking yeah, a pike or one of the marzocchi dirt jumper forks.
which ever i can get a good deal on.
maybe a good used fork.

No. Shes a Genuine Schwinn. haha.
i hate how they made a crappier version of it and tried to sell it at walmart...
because now everybody is like, ''so did you get that at walmart?''
get's annoying, and now it doesn't say schwinn on it anywhere so i should be good to go.
it was around $700 when I got it.
i totally love the look of the frame.

put the wheels on just because i was curious to see how it looks.
still need to order new tires. no jobs really makes this take forever.
I've been saving though and I'm buying a DJ3 fork this weekend if it's still for sale.

the fork up close.
