A couple of my friends and I are wanting to head up to Clemson DH this Sunday and I just want to check my directions. Can someone take a look at this Google map and tell me if I am headed right?
google map
The directions on the site seem to visually show you going onto Issaqueena Lake Rd but in the written directions they don't mention this. Someone please help. It will be a long drive and I don't want to get lost and have to turn back.

Looks about right. I think the directions take you around the lake a different way as thats where we had all of our signs layed out.

I prefer to continue on 123 until you get to Old Clemson HWY make a right there. (youll see a palms and bloom grocery store)

Then make a right on to lawrence bridge rd. (hairpin )
Make a right on W. Dam Rd.

After that make every possible left.

if you get lost, need tubes, or want to check for riders check out Clemson Cyclery on your way in, its right of tiger blvd. http://clemsoncyclery.com Derrick or Matt can help.

I have sunday off so If you need someone to meet you guys out there and show you around. I was most likely going to be out there working on some new trails anyway.

Jon, thanks for the shout out for the shop.

Matt,

We are 99% sure we will be there Sunday. We would love the help with checking the place out as well. I am not sure exactly what time we will get there but it will probably be around 9:30 - 10. If that time range changes I will let you know. If you are cool with it I could give you a call when we get close by. I may try to get the guys to stop at the shop as well so meeting there would be an option as well. Is the shop open on Sundays?

Yea the shop is open on sunday but because of the crazy rules in SC we are only allowed to be open from 1-5pm. I'll double check my schedule, but I'm sure I could meet you guys out there sunday morning. I just got back from doing some grooming and maintenance on the main course. I'm also working on a new trail right now but its only about 50% complete, same thing with the Pumptrack. The DS course could also use some Love but I'm the only one here this summer and I'm working as much as possible between work and Classes. Both lines of the DH course are well groomed and fast, I'm gonna try my best to get some more dirt on the road gap, step down, and creek gap before you guys come on sunday.

Matt It sounds like you are putting a lot of love and probably blood into the place I am sure it will be great. I would love to help out sometime but as you saw it is over 3 hours drive one way. I try to help out when I can on my local trails I only hope people help out on ones away from home.
PM me your number and i'll give you a call when we get close by. I would love to say that we will be hitting the road at 5:30 but it will probably be closer to 6. Also let me say that my group of guys was hitting up Sugar Mtn once a year and other than some fun at Dupont that is as much DH as we have been able to hit. We are headed to Snowshoe in a month want to see at least a bit of what we are in store for.
Thanks again man for your offer. I wish the shop was open earlier so I could get some pads but maybe we can hit it later on in the day.

I really wouldn't worry too much about getting pads for clemson's trails, regardless of your skill level, but just be sure to bring lots of water.

How is the pump track coming along matt?

What's up everyone, new to the mtb scene here. I'm coming off of 10 years of motocross. I have been by Clemson cyclery a few times and have spoken to some nice people. I still haven't gotten my bike but I am more than willing to come help out on the trails just to get outside. Matt, if you want some help Sunday let me know and I can meet you out there somewhere, I should have the day off.
