i can also comment on the lever at least. it feels really good in comparison to older hope levers. its also has alot less mush on the system than other hopes i have felt on the past. like they said though the clamp of the lever will have to sit really far in to put it in a position so you can have one finger braking.

btw for those of you who are interested i have the moto trials brake. it has a could on special things worked into it for incredible locking power like bigger piston in the caliper.

i really like those vented rotors...

would they work with codes calipers? (don´t know if the hope rotors are thicker than the avid rotors)

I don't know if they will work (I am interested also) but I do know that they are significantly more thick.

and because they are more thick. they will not work with any other brake.

Some years ago Pavel STICHA (http://www.sticha.ch) from Switzerland was in the works with his own vented disc named "cool disc", even before HOPE did. He worked with HOPE Mono6 Ti calipers, way before the HOPE Moto V2 was on the market. He told that he was to machine the original caliper out because the disc was more thick than the original one.

I've been running my set for almost a year now. I like them.

More power than the 6Ti, but not as much modulation. They still modulate nicely, just not as much as the 6.
I honestly prefer the lever feel of the mini lever better. After riding the 6Ti and the Moto back to back, the Moto lever feels a bit soft. Not air in the system...engagement just seems a bit soft.

I run the same pads in both setups, too. Fibrax sintered. They bite awesome, and don't die fast. Same lever blades too, Dangerboy dual finger.

I really don't know what Hope was thinking when they designed the mount so far in. I can see it being a PITA to mount on some fat riser bars.

SIck brakes. Well made. The MOTO 4 I used B4 could be trickey to bleed but also worked well.

I´m afraid that this new part is a VERY special design because of it´s a radial cylinder design and it seems like it´s a pull-type master cylinder rather than a push-type one, isn´t it? Am I wrong?

It's not actually radial, just an in-mounted reservoir that makes it look like a radial design. Similar design to formula, though a whole lot prettier and more expensive to manufacture.

You are right.

Hope claims it reduces the heat by 15%
This should bring the Hope brakeset closer to the competition's performance then...

Older Hopes are worthless here in the Alps. I have seen stacks of Hope rotors waiting to be sent back to the manufacturer for heat failure and therefor brake failure from use here. I wouldn't give you 50cents for a set of Hopes...

One of my V2 levers needs some love... think I'll just run it as it is for a bit, and pick up a set of these levers when they're out to replace the current levers.

They are the Bling. I had a set on my '06 Yeti 303. They are the strongest and best modulating brakes I have ever owned. I don't really think anyone needs brakes that are that strong. I think all one really needs is a good modulating brake for control purposes only. They go way beyond what I would consider a "need". There are other brakes out there that modulate just as well and have equally as good of feel IMO for the $$. However, I don't think anyone would argue that HOPE makes alot of good products.

Look close: Those new levers look like they have a reservoir cap on both the top and bottom of the lever: flipflop design?
I want to get my grubby mits on some, and play with them. :)

According to a recent posting on www.mtb-news.de (http://www.mtb-news.de/forum/showpost.php?p=5025895&postcount=1069), HOPE will release a V2 disk with ROHLOFF 4 bolt disc mount pattern in the next few weeks. This is a good news for all ROHLOFF Speedhub as well as X-FUSION Delta8 (35mm hollow thru-axle, see: http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188298&highlight=Hope) users.
May be they will come out with a 4 bolt disc mount pattern of the V2 disc for their proprietary SP-AM4 wheels (http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196391&highlight=Hope), too.
