Ma new Heckler. 08 XT cranks, R derailler, and brakes (8"F and 6"R), Easton Havoc hoops, RP23, and Marz 55 ETA.

After 6 rides, the front hub is not locking down tightly and I have a little slop in the system. Gonna try to do some fabrication on this. Any monkeys have tips for the new Marz QR on the 55 ETA or does anyone have similar issues with their Easton Havoc 20mm front hub?

Just got some feedback from the Marzocchi tech. They said to grease the o-ring on the qr. I did that and also put a little grease on the threads of the qr, and it seems to torque down tighter now. Will have to wait for todays snow to melt now before getting a real world ride test.

You run your lyrik all the way out to 160 on the prophet? How long have you been doing that for? (I was thinking about doing the same, but a little worried about head tube issues)

My '08 Giant Rincon:

Tektro Io Mechanical disc brakes front/rear, 160mm rotors
SRAM TruVativ Blaze ISIS Drive Cranks
Wellgo LU-313 Pedals
Shimano Alivio Rear Derailleur/Cassette

Pretty basic. The only thing that didn't come on the bike was the cranks, and that's because I broke the first two sets of the TruVativ cranks, so the shop upped them for free.

Looking to build an affordable FR bike soon, but I need to figure out what parts to get.

With Gasoline at $4.27 a gallon, and my car gobbling 21 miles to the gallon, my bike is the ONLY thing that's going to be in my stable soon. I'll be using it to get to the street light up on the corner where I'll put out my "Will work for food, please help" sign, and hold out my cup while chowing down on a large size Slurpee.:hmm:

Hello Guys, my name is Chuck aka "Jarhead" and I just got into MTB. My stable, don't laugh, is a 05 Specialized Hard Rock rebuilt for road use, an 08 Kona Coilair, for jumping, an 05 GT Bestwick Pro, for street play with the children, and the boys have 08 Redline 18.1 and 16.1.

I am looking for experienced and cool riders to help teach a brother a thing or two about riding. I have started going into the Seatac Park to learn how to jump and I ride up in Renton to help improve my balance. I used to ride 125cc dirtbikes so this is a pretty cool transition for me. Anyone interested in helping an old man out hit me up on PM. Look forward to meeting some of you sometime.
