So Sept 13-14 there's a race in tehachapi at woodward west. The ww site doesn't have much info or any photos. Has anyone raced there? What's the course like? Full on dh bike, or something smaller? Is there good camping? How long is the course? How many people usually show up? Anything else I should know? Any response will be much appreciated.

It's a fun course, super short though. I think it's more like a bmx track pointed down than an actual dh course. My last run there was a 1:39 and I'm slow like molasses. Big House dropped a 1:07 on his second run.
No camping in the immediate area that I know of, but the hotel is at the top of the course. Most had full on DH rigs, but you could get away with an FR/AM bike. Here's a link to some of the pics Arkayne took.

Never! I have to dream... It's all I have. I have to keep dreaming that I can one day oust the Sluck from his permanent 3rd place podium seat.

oh sh*t, the sd click might want to seat this race out because dirtymike is going to be there and he owns the girls of the sd click. also word on the street is there is going to be a new ripper for the drunks in z class making his debut @ woodward.

There is the Woodward Lodge directly at the top of the trail entrance.
The trails there now are smooth and bermy. A full on DH bike is way to much. Be prepared for lots of dust!
I know they cut new trails for the DH races but we rode the old one and it was nothing super impressive, just lots of flow.

Probably not. I've had a rough summer full of injuries and broken bike parts. I'll use the money I would have spent on the race to hit up Northstar and Mammoth.
i was gonna roll up with alf but hurt my shoulder the other day ridin with him. maybe ill take my camera and be a monkey spectator?
i might have an extra bunk for rent.

Yea, I'm alright. More pissed and bummed than anything. Hit a piece of wood doing 85 on the 215N near Nuevo Rd. Spun and hit the wall. My face and chest were a bit sore along with my forearms, but I'm good. She's definately totalled. Worst part is I busted the block and the trans. I hope i can still salvage the crankshaft (25lb custom crank from eagle) and a Quaife LSD in the trans. At least the bike wasn't damaged (it was in the trunk)
