Ok so my dilemma of the day

2008 Specialized Demo 8 I for 3300 after all charges
or
2008 Ironhorse Sunday Team for 3000

Im an east coast rider and haven't gotten a really pricey bike yet, but I finally have the money ponied up and just want to get the best bike for the buck. Both bikes have their downfalls, but I am tired of thinking it over so I thought I would gather some of everyone elses views.

Give me your thoughts.

Try to get to ride them and see which one you like the best and find out what you want in a bike. They are both quality bikes.

I would never buy any of the two new as there are plenty of good used bikes to choose from more and more as we get closer to the end of the season.

I know two good friends, both with 08 Demo 8's coming off 2006 ones that aren't fond of theirs at all and it is only because of the length. The medium is some ridiculously long 47 inches. They're East Coast and couldn't get them to turn for crap. One sold his and bought something shorter he was so unhappy with it...and I've never known this guy to sell any bike mid-season.

The Sunday geometry really is perfect for DH. I still dream of my 07 Sunday Elite. Most fun bike I've ever ridden. The only bike I miss more is my DHR, but the geometry of my old DHR wasn't as good as the geo of the Sunday (granted DHR geo is diff. now)

I've ridden both bikes before and I do like both bikes, but I am thinking in terms of which bike is eventually goign to lead to spending more on because buy either would kind of empty my wallet for a while. I know the alloy hubs they both come with suck and need to be replaced after the first season, but I am still debating the Fox fork vs the 888 RCV and the DHX3 vs the DHX4. I like both bikes but I am kind of most looking for opinions as for which will be better in the long run.

I have been racing on a bighit II for the past season and while it is a great hucking bike, its not so great in the racing arena. I am planning on being a lot mroe competitive this season so Ive got to get something better than the current ride.

Sunday Team comes with a Boxxer Team, not a Fox. Geometry aside, I'd take the Sunday, as I'd much rather have the damping in a Boxxer Team then the RCV damping.
