Hello all,

I am newer to the Bay and am looking for some good bike friendly skateparks. I live in the east bay, but am willing to travel for some good riding. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Lake Cunningham Skate Park in San Jose is bike friendly. They have bike specific times.

Rules as follows:

20" and 24" wheels only.
No gears.
No suspension.
Must have a brake.

damn you have to have eff'n brakes, serious? I didn't see that on their rules

Also only plastic pegs right?

Man and I wanted to go, but if I need brakes than forget it.

ServeEm... they rarely check for brakes, and I've seen a bunch of guys out there without them. I wouldn't worry about it, honestly.

So far everytime I've gone out there (6 or 7 times) there's been at least a handful of guys not running brakes.

I like the flow at the Antioch skatepark near Prewitt water park. It's a long drive, but the park flow is clockwise or ccw. This helps w/ cross traffic. Brentwood is gated and staffed. WC is too small, but the bowl is fun. Lamorinda (in Moraga) is small and frequently patrolled. San Ramon is really skate-only. Pleasanton is open and spacious. Lots of bowls. There have been BMX meet-ups there in the past. Dublin is rectangular and has lots of lines. Pleasanton and Dublin are relatively close (10 min drive or less).

Where in the East Bay are you located?

I'm in hayward. The park by my house isn't too bad, but i feel like I'm getting sized up by the homies dealing drugs there when I go. Dublin/Pleas isn't too far from me. Sounds promising.
