I have a 2001-2002 Ellsworth Joker. At the moment I have it set up with an ISIS bottom bracket and Race Face northshore DH cranks. I have a dual ring up front. The big ring is 32 and the smaller ring is smaller. I don’t have the bike on me.

With the current setup I would like to simply put on a good quality chain guide that is compatible with all of the above. I found a nice one from Race Face called the Atlas. Problem with this one is that it is designed to be used with the X-type bottom bracket. If I change my bottom bracket then I need to change my cranks.

Is there a really nice option out there that allows me to leave well enough along and get what I want (dual ring chain guide)? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
John

Thank you for the quick advice. I checked out the website and the DRS is their dual chain model, but it is only available in a 4 bolt pattern. My northshore cranks have a 5 bolt pattern.

The DRS can be mounted up Bottom Bracket style, where it replaces one of the 2.5mm bottom bracket spacers and sandwiches between the BB cup and the BB shell.

The entire setup would work fine with your current cranks, as long as you can find a 5-bolt bashguard to work with your RaceFace cranks (most of our distributors/bike shops would only be able to get a 4-bolt model for you).

We might have a few older 5-bolt bashguards kicking around, if you have any interest feel free to shoot me an e-mail.
