I'm preferable to Selle Italia saddles. Do you have a preference on shape? Finding a saddle that "fits you" is the most important thing.

My Selle Italia broke on a ride last weekend so I cut up my spare t-shirt and tied 'er back on. Got to my LBS and bought a new Bontrager Big Earl. I can't ride 2 kilometers before my ass is killin' me. Do yourself a favor and get a gel seat. These new, slim saddles are crap. Now I have to buy an expensive pair of padded-arse riding shorts. :(

Why don't you have a seat over there?

:stupid:

My butt prefers WTB saddles and the "Pro Gel" whatever I have (laser maybe) on my MTB is really comfy. You need to find out what saddle works for your butt 'cause your butt does not = my butt.

For me it's Fizik, Gobi on the XC bike and Arizone on the road bike, only reason being it fits my ass

The XC bike was supplied with an SLR which looked pretty and was very light but after one ride in the saddle I sold it and bought the Gobi

If they made a DH version, none of the DH racers would use it because it would weigh more than 130g :)
Very true.

I like Selle Italia and Specialized seats personally, but sit on a few and see what works.

:imstupid:

Absolutely. I've been riding various versions of the Selle Italia Flite for so long (since... '93) that whenever I sit on anything else it's murder... I even ran a Flite when I raced DH... My BMX bike even has one... My butt is "molded" to a Flite...

SDG Bel Air (the chromo railed version).

Very comfy. (Don't be tempted with the Ti railed version, it's only a few grammes lighter and twice the price!)
