Good Morning!!!

Just drying out over here from the full day of rain we got yesterday. Funny....it started the moment I got here, and ended the moment I walked out the door. I am the rain-bringer, hear me roar!!!

It was a pretty low-key evening around the house lsat night. I grilled some chicken, and Colin played with pretty much every tool in my shop that wouldn't either stab or cut him....and of course those are the ones he wanted the most. That's my boy. I had a couple of Shiner Hefe's which were super tasty and we watched "Fringe" while I took a little nap on the couch.

Work looks mighty slow today..we may cap the week off at the end of the day today so we'll have something to work with next week. We got a bid on an apartment complex that has 140 separate buildings, so wish us luck that we get it.

Normally it would be dirt jump night, but since we got rained on, it's a perfect evening for digging instead. I'll get some pics up of the new line--it's awesome.

Y'all have a great day......I gotta run. Later!!

Good morning! Man, this week is DRAGGING with vacation on the horizon. I worked out yesterday at that gym tht MBC wanted me ot check out. I wasn't too thrilled with it, but I'll give it a few workouts before I decide. I might be willing to live with it for the money we'll save.

Morning monkeys!

Went to Greenwich to look at a multi-million dollar condo, then to Stamford to figure out why one of our wireless units wasn't communicating.

Last night we checked out a camera club, and we think we're going to join.

Today I'm supposed to go to East Haven and monitor a quarry.

Another history test next period that I'm definitely not looking forward to. I guess I'll finally get to relax afterward. I'm hoping the rain is going to finish by the end of the week so we'll finally get a whole football game in (our last one got postponed an hour and a half because of lightning and rain and marching band just left).

Good morning,

Stuck in traffic last night and got home too late to make the TNR.

Not feeling so great today and debating whether to go to work or not. Still got an hour or so to decide.

Hope your day is well.

Yo !

Yesterday I left work early and rode for the first time in 8 days. Massive rains and travel for work pretty much ate the entire last week. Only an hour and a hief, but it felt good. I really really really want a new road bike and have my eye on something  on ebay, but with the economy sucking balls it's hard to justify anything but paying down debt and saving. WTF do I work for again?

Quo Fan: what is a camera club?

Working from home today so let me know if you guys need anything. :bonk:

Morning.....(Well it's afternoon actually now. 1pm GMT)

So..... I'm off to Cannock Chase in a bit (www.chasetrails.co.uk) for some XC shenanigans. It's just started to drizzle, so some of the sections will be like ICE (tiny smooth stones set into the trail). Makes for some fun riding!

Then I gotta do my CV (err... resume) and prepare for a mock interview tomorrow. Our uni thinks we need practice at them. I'm 32 for God's sake. I've DONE interviews let alone need practice being interviewed!

Anyway, I digress. Prelim bike checks done. I'll probably find no diesel in the car as the wife had it yesterday and it's her usual trick to leave the motor with no fuel!

Have a great Wednesday guys :)

We got a bid on an apartment complex that has 140 separate buildings, so wish us luck that we get it.
Now, see, if it weren't for all us northerners moving down there, you wouldn't have any apartment complexes to build!!!

I'm just kidding with you GH. I do understand your frustration with people with different values & lifestyles moving in and trying to take over... I live in a fairly small town in upstate NY, so believe it or not, I can relate...

Anyway, nothing going on here. Last night was the second session of my 9 hour bike education certification course--one more to go. I will have be an American League of Bicyclists certified bike rider in just one week!!! Actually, I'm taking it for a couple reasons: 1) It's the first step toward getting certified as a biking instructor, and 2) to build my confidence for riding in traffic, and it's actually working really well!! I highly recommend taking one of these classes if they have one near you.

You all have a great day!

and 2) to build my confidence for riding in traffic,
During last night's road ride, I was pedaling slightly downhill at about 25 mph and got passed by a green Benz traveling maybe 45 mph by no more than 2 feet. Plenty of room to the driver's left and he was holding a phone to his head. :twitch:

Morning all! This week certainly is dragging on...I can't believe it's only Wednesday! Went for my dress fitting last night and, big surprise here, it's too long! So, now I have to go back and get it hemmed (the fitting lady was out and they didn't bother to call and tell me). I would like to drop a few pounds too so it will be a little looser -- I hate fitted things! So I will ramp up my cardio and see if I can get 5 pounds off in 3 weeks...note, I will not be giving up beer! :p

Tonight should be mellow and ride tomorrow!

We were taken out to dinner last night by the owner of the dog we were dog-sitting. Great dinner at a local restaurant.
Watched 'Kite Runner' when we got home. Excellent movie. Recommended.
Today was spent doing bits and pieces. I ripped down a wall in a friend's bathroom, ready for me to rebuild and tile from tomorrow. Came home and mowed the lawns (finally).
My mum should be in Amsterdam by now. She is over for about a month, spending 2 weeks with us and then touring around Euroland before heading back to NZ. She'll get here on Friday. Now I have to think of things to do for 2 weeks with her. It's the interseason, so all the usual activities will be closed.
