We just got new Macs and video cameras at our school and there has been a push for new technology so I decided to investigate by making a little video of my buddy and I riding my trails and some about an hour away (mine are the ones in the open field, built fresh this year, but lots of plans to go bigger).

Anyway, its just a simple edit, but I have my sights set on spending more money to do more extensive projets  I'm the guy on the green bike.

Thanks Siege. I'm coming off a sprained ankle/bone chip thing so nothing crazy went down. Actually neither of us crashed during the filming, though I slipped a pedal real good which resulted in a couple nice gashes (I made them talk to my wife :-)).

Good stuff, you trails are cooler than the other ones.

Watch the auto-iris setting on the camera. There are some shots where the rider is in the air with the sky in the background, and the auto-iris starts to under-expose the rider because the sky is too bright. You can use the auto-iris to set your exposure, and then turn it off before you start filming.

Post some more videos when you expand your trails.

Sixgun, good advice, thanks. I need to adjust white balance and all of that as well (which is great when I'm filming, but is a pain when I hand the camera to my wife or friends that have no idea. I used to have a good crew of filmers/riders but that has dwindled over the years.

Anyway, I'll look into that.
