That's cool. Interesting that they were able to get a bike with a concentric BB pivot to market before Cannondale (for the same application).

edit: It'll be interesting to see how spindles will handle this... I don't see it being a problem really, unless its a ti spindle...

Those are Pictures of the actual production frame with laser cut shock mounts and drop outs.

The spindle is actually a 19mm BMX spindle on 4 Spanish BB bearings.. super simple and super stiff.

As the spindle turn wen you pedal...all the bearings turns..so they wear-out evenly witch will increase bearing life to the max.

Im sorry... for some reason..its the only pic i can post from the blog ?

Ya, thats what intrigued me as well, simple designs make sense for this application. I've always been intrigued by the Transition double, but this is steel, and perhaps a more durable design. Low TT, short backend (over an inch shorter then the double), I think I'm in love!

I'm curious of price, but given the steel and simplicity that should be lower as well.

And its available in purple which was the next color I wanted!

i saw this yesterday and i imediatley wanted one. Im imagining it with a fox 36 talas so i could mess with the travel setting on the front. how do you think it would run with 120 or 160 in the front for some rough riding, then down to 100 for dirt?

Is that a Dobermann? It would seem like the bbrkt would have to be really high to have enough clearance, but its a cool idea, might be awesome, who knows?

As for the fork, 3.5" is under 100mm. It would be fun to have a fork you could dial in for your riding (I loved my Pike for that reason). On the other hand it could be dialed with an 80mm.

Im not sure if its a dobbermann it was included in the article but im not sure if advance is the name of the model by dobermann or if its a different company all together.

As for the 26 fully i figured it was designed for an 80-100 fork for dj, but i was just thinking having the extra travel ajustability would be cool for making it a play bike at Diablo for the Jump trails and **** then run some lower bars. Idk im too broke to worry about yet anyhow

Lol, my wife said not to even think about it (I said next year :-)) but I feel your pain. It probably won't be out for a minute anyway so it will give someone else an opportunity to try it out and let us know how it really is ;-)

Unles you mean something different from what I think you mean...they aren't exactly the first. The Cowan DS was, for that market at least. Then there's the Cove G-Spot, 6" concentric pivot, sliding dropouts iirc..."slopestyle!!!111!!!"

i wonder how it would handle street stuff.

I don't nearly as beat up riding dirt as I do riding street.

Concentric pivot isn't new. Using the axle as the pivot is I believe. IIRC both the cowan and the g-spot had large diameter bearings outside the BB shell.

I love the look and functionality of the dobermann. I think it looks a lot better than the Double. That is just a smaller version of the Bottlerocket. And it is heavy.

The new dob looks amazing. I would like to hear reports of how it rides.

Any ideas how a single pivot FS frame will handle street stuff in comparison to a hard tail?

Sorry, my first post was dumb.

They need to fire their graphic designer. That first picture/advertisment thing made me want to vomit a little bit. Cool looking frame however. As its already been said, I'd be curious to see how the pivoty bits around the bb actually hold up.
