that track must be the most boring track there is. seriously. I like rocky, rooty and technical tracks more then just a highway.

"piste de descente "Venosc" au 2 Alpes lors du mondial de VTT 2007."
That means something like, dh track Venosc at les deus alpes.

Les Deux Alpes, France.

It's meant to be a bit more untapped than the like of Les Gets & Morzine, although only looks a couple of hours south. Definately a place I want to visit next year when we head out :)

one of the most dangerous track i've ever ridden
if you pay attention you see that most of those U turns are on the edge of an ABYSS
if you for whatever reason go straight through a corner, you'll have plenty of time to regret your mistake before you hit the ground, a couple of hundred meters below

Yea, there is one section that seems like it goes right along a ridge line with only a bit of mesh netting to hold you back. Thanks but no thanks!

Some of those passes were pretty brutal, especially the one before that rider was between him and the cameraman. Its one thing to pass a rider if you are clearly faster/more skilled, but doing it in the corner like that is pretty lame...it's not like he couldn't wait 5 seconds until after the corner. It sounded like those two had some words for each other after. With that being said it was pretty entertaining to see him slash some of those inside lines on people.

Piste de descente means: downhill track.

Lors du mondial de VTT 2007 means: during the mtb world festival of 2007.

It's in Les Deux Alpes, in France. Not les DeuS Alples, you can't add an S to deu in french

i assure you it's MANY sections, some containing jumps as well... and some of those sections had no nets at all (not that they would help much if you smashed on them at full speed)

That guy in front was a sick rider, hanging it out all the time... but what a f**king rude bastard! Cutting people off without warning is not cool at all, in fact it's pretty scary and dangerous if you're the one on the receiving end.

That track must destroy brakes too... looks cool though!

Agreed, it's Les Deux Alpes, tis the trail that descends down into the Venosc valley. We rode there for a week this summer, including a few runs of that. I remember thinking it was long, but that video makes it seem a lot longer. We didn't really enjoy it, just berm after berm after berm. Wasn't nearly as loose when we rode it, just hardpack braking bumps most of the way down, I don't mind admitting my hands were ****ed by the bottom!

The whole place is like that, VERY little technical riding anywhere, we were pretty disappointed. Still, had a good time regardless, it's all bikes so it's all good, right? :)

My own world inside my head
I have seen that clip before, great skills, but damn dude, that run had ALOT of exposure, and putting other people in danger like that is Bull****, I hope someone knocked his ass out. I understanding passing someone, but damn, there were a ton of people on that trail, and seriously, those passes were damn near pushing people into the abyss.

As far as the coarse, I dont need to go half way around the world to ride what is mostly fireroad style riding, problem I see with a coarse like that is since it has a lack of technicall, that you start to feel, "Oh it isnt that bad" so you go even faster, and end up doing a superman impression realizing you cant fly.

I don't remember at any point on that run being worried about the exposure, I think there's pretty decent crash netting in all of the dodgy places.
