Anyone running these? http://enduroforkseals.com/id199.html

My 40 needs some new seals and I like the looks of the deisgn. They have an actual oil seal with foam ring, and then a dust seal to go on top. It seems to me that the design of the stock fox dust wipers is that it allows a fair amount of dirt to pass through and get into the oil. The oil in my fork gets very dirty very quickly, and needs to be changed just about every other week (I ride between 4-6 days a week).

I searched, and only found 1 post mentioning them. Someone said they created a lot of stiction, but nobody else confirmed or denied this.

Thanks,
Brent

I have them in my 40. I bought the fork used and it came with the Enduro seals, as well as a fresh rebuild, so I can't comment on how it rode before the Enduro seals. But, after 4 months or so of riding there is no leaking oil and the fork is buttery smooth. They were extremely tight at first and a little oil did leak out of them, but once the seals got broken in they rock. Super smooth, no noticeable friction, no leaking oil, I like it.

I just gave up on installing a set on my 40....I got one wiper in with profuse use of a deadblow hammer and a 1-5/8 socket. The other absolutely will not go in. I was about ready to throw it across the room and I had a bike shop and a motorcycle shop give it a try with no luck. The one I got in is even a little bit cocked. I'll be going back to oem seals.

seems somebody has had similar issues

Blues seals are awesome if you can get them seated.

On another note has anyone broken the ti spring inside the 40?
mine broke at the final coil at the bottom of the spring a month ago. it was a green spring. i swapped to a pink and its almost to soft now.

Sounds like you were trying to put them down where the foam ring goes. Thats the first thing I tried to do, but quickly realized. Foam ring, oil seal and the wiper. Seem to work fine.

I have not used Enduro seals on a 40 but on many other forks. I feel they are the best seals out there. True they can be stubborn to install but at least you do not have to replace them very much. I have not looked at them recently but they used to cost much less than OEM seals also.

the original replacement from fox work great and have the same design, enduros are very tight, too tight in most cases untill they break in (wich takes a long time)

if you ride alot they will be a little cumberson at first and you will definately notice it.

in my opinion (after replacing seals and rebuilding forks for more than 9 years) stick to the fox seals and parts. they were made for the intended purpose..
