Going from a Travis to a Boxxer.
I have readed in this forum that i should rebuild it even if its out of the box.
but should i do only oil and grease in the lowers or the hole MoCo rebuild ?

Also There is an old thread started by Udi saying that we should remove
the speedstack.
Still true in the 09 ?

no you do not need to rebuild. if your really paranoid...pop off the lowers grease the seals and change the oil. but you really dont have to until maybe 10hrs of riding. and MAYBE grease the spring if you feel your getting some stiction

and no, you definitely dont need to remove the speedstack. that was do-it-yourself mod thread. definitely not a need to do thing.

Personally I would never run a fork without going through it first. My 07 team had only a few ml of oil in each leg and zero lube on the seals out of the box..felt like crap. 888 before that was low on oil and had zero LSC. Dorado before that had spilled its lube IN the box......

BTW, that fork is in reality an 08 (yea I understand it is a new color, but....) there is no difference between 07, 08, and your fork.

I was the lucky owner of a 2004 World Cup that had NO yes that is right NOT A DROP of oil in it.

I would check it out at the very least.
