I think one of my buddies tried one on at a local moto shop. He tried it on with his helmet on. He said that it would be good for moto, but not for DH. You can't crank your head back far enough for the positioning on a DH bike. He said it would be great for moto since you are a lot more upright when riding.

I checked one out a few weeks ago. I would recommend trying it with your helmet before buying it. You can adjust the height of the rear with these wedge parts. Not sure if you can get enough adjustment since I didn't want to mess with the guys brace between motos. Anyway, it is definately not as nice as a Leatt in terms of adjustability and ease of use. But it is half the price. So try before you buy.

Make sure you try one on before you buy it. My friend that tried one on rides with Oneal DOT helmets. They're huge compared to a normal full face DH helmet.

Lachy, do you ride with a huge DOT helmet?

I see others syaing it, but I need to say it too, Def try it on before you buy. Some places wont let you take your helmets inside either. If you can, I suggest always trying on your gear before buying it

I've been rocking the Leatt brace for the past couple of months. I know it's expensive but I feel that it is worth the money. I have yet to wear it with my body armor as I don't really want to cut my jerseys. Once you get used to having the neck brace on your neck you don't notice it while riding.

I would love to, But I dont have mine yet. I was just listing it for an alternative for those who cannot afford the Leatt. It might not be as comfy as a Leatt, but its better than not having.

I have been using the Leatt for a year now and love it. Just last week at Diablo I put it to the test and it passed. It is still up in the air if I was out cold for a while, but my neck was fine. The muscles were VERY sore for the first few days of the week, but they are better now.

In that crash I toasted my helmet and feel that the Leatt probably did its job.
