So it is the season for buying again, I want two new bikes.

I am thinking Yeti DJ and a Pivot Firebird.

But, I would like a good xc bike like a Mach 4 or a ASR.

I guess that is the real problem, I can't do everything with just one bike, and I really need to build three, but then the question, where to cut corners.

:imstupid:

4Xboy there are many 6" travel bikes that do great on xc trials and can still handle light fr. the giant reign is a great example. that thing can pedal all day long.

Im riding aYeti DJ as my everything but DH bike, love the geo, it is very stiff in the back meaning you do get quite tired on longer XC rides.

Ideally for an everything but DH bike im looking to replace the DJ frame with the new 5 Spot

1 full suspension 4x bike that can handle trail riding + 1 light DH bike seems ideal IMO.

How tall are you guys who use dedicated 4x bikes as all around XC bikes? Right now I have a cheap 16.5" DJ hardtail and I've set it up with a 410 post and it just feels akward to ride. I can't really imagine anything smaller than that for any longer than a few miles. BTW, I'm 6ft even.
