Good luck to the seller with a starting bid of $4,250. Yikes.
If you read the add I'm pretty sure its duncan selling them. I don't think he's going through a 3rd party to sell them. I'm also fairly certain thats a pretty reasonable starting bid for a 1 year old WC DH bike with that build.

but yah, good luck to him, super nice guy from what I remember of him in HS.

The sunday that he is selling is SICK.
I just asked if he would sell just the frame but that was a no go.
Someone is going to get a incredible bike for an insane price.
I would buy the sunday if I had the money.

As a local, they do pop up on our craigslist as well. I would be pretty confident that they are legit. Hell I've seen the Honda/Iron Horse Honda ridgeline rolling around town (probably him while he was still sponsored by them).

He's got some sick builds and bikes........if he lowered the price I'm sure someone would jump on them, but it's hard because for the asking price you can pretty much build close to what you'd want without sacrifice.

A bike that has been ridden hard for a year plus by a pro level rider has got to be beat to hell, though.

Depends on how he takes care of his bike. I know a couple of very fast guys (maybe not at DRiffs level but still very fast) and some of them really take great care about their bikes and they are in very good condition.

BTW. Weren't there 2 other custom team sundays on ebay for 1k less?

I have to admit that is one nice looking Sunday. A bit on the pricey side, but the part spec isn't too shabby at all.

I also agree a little pricey maybe, but you have to think for guys like Duncan this is probably where they make a good portion of there income. If he sold all his bikes for what he is asking your looking at like $15,000-$20,000.

If I sold all my bikes for retail I could make like 15k too. That doesn't mean I should or will......

Does this have any relation to the fact that sobe/pepsi just dropped the cannondale team, so all the riders now need new sources of income? cuz i know a couple that this has happened to. they are ebaying all of their high end crap just to pay the bills. or did DR just sign with a new team and has leftovers?

I don't think it matters how well it's taken care of, frame fatique doesn't clean up with a rag and some lube

How many frames does your average WC rider go through in a season?
