so im trying to introduce my bro to the wonderful world of mtb and am trying to think of a bike for him. somthing freeride, singletrack and ocasionally dj worthy. any suggestions. oh yea and also keep it aroud 500-1000 bones.

Any geared dj hardtail, or if you want a fully then you should look used but you wont find a fully that is really dj worthy in that price range.

Yea i didn't even think about that. Hardtails are way better to learn on they teach you how to pick a line and flow.

the stp is cool. i think it would suit him well but ill have to sell it to him alittle more before he dropes a grand on it. ill let him roll on my riot for a bit. any ideas for a little less price. i know its probably not gonna be worth it if its less cash but like i said hes a tight ass(no homo)

been once to help clean up the track and they let me ride my riot out there. ive only been in the dub-k for two years. do you know anyone who rides anything other than single track xc trails out here?? or know of any fun trails in the area??
