Tull Frucker in his Bunnies,Satan,Cheese,Milk thread reminded me of a really cool scene in some Clint Eastwood flick i saw on t.v. a while back. Starring Jeff Bridges, it was a typical Eastwood flick similar to Dirty Harry movies, pretty standard stuff. This standout scene is a total curveball that doesn't really fit the rest of the movie, but standing by itself is awesomer than the movie imo.

Being John Malkovich was a movie you either loved or hated. The only way you could pull it off is to have the star whom the story was scripted for, be a part of the movie.

For those who didn't see it or don't want to. The story surrounds a mysterious portal, discovered by a character played by John Cusack, that takes you into the psyche of the actor John Malkovich. Changed by the experience he inevitably starts bringin the general public in and charging a fee. When John Malcovich himself catches wind of this "portal" he decides to see for himself, in this twisted payoff scene.

Fight scene from Oldboy:

And to totally switch gears, this is one of my favorite scenes ever. From Fargo, where Marge meets with Mike Yanagita (something like that)

At first glance it's kind of random in the movie, but the bizarre conversation with Mike prompts Marge to take another look at Jerry Lundergaard. Especially after she learns that everything Mike said was a lie, and the he has some "mental issues".

At least, that's what I got out of it.

Children of Men - When I watched this I thought, that's all one shot. Then on the stair scene, the blood splatter on the camera lens goes away. I did some research and apparently, it was all one shot and they digitally edited the blood out.
