This friends and family is much longer than last year. They have also been coming out with more coupons than in the past. Obviously the economy is hurting the premium denim market.

Please: No discussion on how spending $100 on jeans or $40 on a t-shirt is a waste of money. If this is not for you, move on.

No denim on earth is capable of making my ass any hotter...

I will admit to owning one pair of foo foo Lucky Brand Jeans - I bought them because the message "Lucky You" is sewn just inside the fly.

I figured for $150, I could buy a pair at Old Navy for $30, then pay a day laborer to wear actual holes in them and still come out ahead.

It's all about creating jobs.

I'm positive you could buy Levi's for $40 and for $20, have them altered to fit.

I have this undying inner battle going on as to whether you are really as dumb and simple as you seem. Just when I think it's some inner evil in me that thinks you may be and I have created this funny impression of you, some ounce of compassion says there is no way it's true. The only constant in this battle is that you continue to one up yourself. I, without question, think the compassionate John is going to lose this one.

for anyone interested, i've been turned onto www.revolveclothing.com as they seem to have rather good sales.

And I've never had people (guys and girls...uh...) comment how well any jean has fit until I got these Diesels. Kind of strange. I did have to make the switch to boxer briefs, though.

I've got 4 pairs now, I buy 1 per year then have then patched when too worn. I've never spent more than $80 a pair. Buying designer at full price is retarded. However stealing is even more retarded. PSP you are a thief and an idiot.

The silliness of paying that much for jeans (I have Lucky's too, I got them for $40 at the Rack, and they're not as good over time as my Levi's imo) is only topped by the borderline homophobia and visceral reaction of people who don't understand why you would do that.

Some people like to buy nice clothes and look good. Lucky ≠ Costco jeans. Get over yourselves.

Levis being cheap (inexpensive) is bogus. The last pair I bought cost me 80 bucks, and they weren't the expensive ones.

I've now discovered the Old Navy $35 option. Bought two pair. I'm way less hobo-esque now.

Old Navy jeans actually fit me (38x36) but they don't carry the 36 length in the store. But I find coupons and I ordered 3 pair at $25 a pair with free shipping.

So even with this Lucky promo, I could get 3 pair of Old Navy jeans and have enough to buy a 6 pack. I don't patch jeans with holes (jeans with holes are frowned on at work), I just put them in the "garage jeans" pile and buy some new ones.

But I'm old and a cheap bastard.
