How are those jumps anyways? I'm moving to New York next year, so I'm curious; and by "moving" I mean I got accepted to college... in Manhattan.

The jumps are really good... the thing is some locals who know nothing about DJ's, Bikes and maintaining the jumps tear the jumps up with Kmart bikes.... It's a public park so we cannot kick anyone out... but it would be a great help if anyone can lend a helping hand....

go to www.nycmtb.org

for more info.

Revolve:
The jumps are OK. In the past they have suffered from infrequent maintenance. In the last couple months, we've been trying to get more diggers involved and keep the maintenance going, so they are in pretty good condition right now.

Since it's a city park, there are strict rules we have to build under. Jumps need to be tables, no deep pits that could hold water, no cutting down trees, etc.
We want to keep the zone safe for the young kids on walmart bikes, the novices, the old MTBers looking to get into the more progressive side of the sport. The jumps are good fun, but will never be pro-level BMX/MTB dubz.

That being said, it's amazing to have any jumps in a city like this, and they can only get better with more work on our part. Drop me a PM (or post on our site) when you get to town and definitely bring the dj/street bike when you move here. The riding (of all types) within 1-1.5hr drive of NYC is damn good.
