I have watched all my DH race DVD's and want to get some more. I have all the earthed videos and have borrowed a couple of misc videos from friends. I would like to get a few more and would love to hear suggestions. My favorite footage is of race courses and race/practice DH runs.

it depends if you want to watch racing or if you'd rather just listen to someone talk about it instead?

this is me hoping Clay's new movie is less like its predicessors and more like his Yeti vids.

Headliners & Transcontinental FTW. To the point that I will go and buy a VHS player just so I can watch them again, will make sure I copy them to my PC before I bin aforementioned VHS player this time!

I got The Uprising for Christmas and I was very impressed as I think it is the guys first commercial film. As it says on the tin it focuses mainly on up and coming UK riders which is not a bad thing at all, and there are plenty of home tracks and Alps bits mixed in with World Cups. Highly recommended.

Victory is very very good too.
All WC and riders segmentes are amazing.
I'd say is not perfect because they put NPS Cup on the main movie.
It's not bad, but just strange mixing World Cup level and UK races are strange, in my opinion.
They should put as extras.

But all congratulations for filmakers from 3Focus, Rob and John and Victoy, John Lawlor.
Different styles of filming, what is good, but both amazing.

Can't wait for 2009 season. Three months and counting.

For those that want The Circus on DVD.
Its on Rise the Dvd as a extra.
It was the only reason that I bought it.

It still amazes me that with current DVD technology that people complain when a movie is too long or has a bit too much talking in it. Thats what remote controls are for. F1RST for instance was the only movie documenting the COMPLETE 2008 world cup race series including world champs. Plenty of practice and race run footage there. Not to mention all the extra riding in all the other locations and countries featured in the riders segments. Yes the voice over or interviews may bug some 2nd or 3rd time around, but thats what menus and remote controls are for.
I don't think Clay films for 10 months just to make web quality action segments, the quality and depth of the end result make it worth waiting for in my opinion. With freecaster and MTB cut documenting the world cups with daily updates etc I look fwd to seeing alternate edits and the exclusive rider parts at their local spots or exotic locations. If you don't agree use your mouse just like you should use your remote and click out of here.

hahahah....Porter spends 10 months making a movie and the results are the most boring thing possible.

Others filmakers, Tony Butler(Super 8), Rob and John(3Focus), John Lawlor(Victory) spend 4 months making their movies and the results are the most intense things.

If a movie is good, you don't need to use your remote control.

I love Porter's films, and don't FF any of it when I watch, each to their own.

Thanks for all the input I have some shopping to do for the next rainy day. Here is a compilation of the results I got: (1 = vote for, # vote against)

3focus 111111
Victory 1111
Between the tape 11 #
Re-focus 11
F1rst 111 #
The uprising 1111
Stars and bars 11
Super 8 111
Earthed 5 1
Illusionary Lines 1
Earthed 4 1
Foot out Flat out 11
Headliners 11
Transcontinental 1111

Looks like 3focus wins and then The Circus, Transcontinental, The uprising, Victory all tied for second.
