Dual ring guard that doesn't need a bash?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just one of the newer, cheaper DRs guides sans bashguard?
Will a regular DRS retain the chain without a bash?

A bash does help to keep the chain on (only the larger ring). Any dual ring guide without a bash will work.

Hey guys,
The DS (pictured above) is the steel backplate version of the DRS. We make two versions of the DS:

DS - sold without bashguard, in case you want to run somthing else or have a bash kicking around. Of course, it is engineered to be run with our Supercharger bashguard, and performance may suffer if you run somthing else.

DSS - sold with our Supercharger bashguard...essentially a pricepoint version of the DRS (steel backplate is easier and cheaper to produce than our traditional aluminum offering). Functionally it is the same as the DRS.

The product in the link isn't a guide at all but stand alone frame mounted bash for 3 ring bikes.

I don't want a bash because I don't need one. IT's a 1/2# of weight I don't want to cary around on my trail bike. What I really want is a 2 ring version of an LG1.
Well you could run that with duls but I hear what ya saying I thought there might be more on the MRP WS that might help

What about the Wicked Racing option!

Use with or without a bash

Note the P30 bash is very light, especially the new one! just saying!

NORCAL is the hizzle
I've never done it myself but I've seen a couple people use a DRS without a bash guard. With the DRS the front derailleur and the lower pulley seem to keep things in place, unlike the SRS where the bashie and top guide work together.
