I haven't posted in a while.... Lots has happened since last time. Here's a few off the top of my head.

We finished what we had planned for the east side of Cunningham Park. Three main areas(DJ/Pump,Skills area, Big Pump) and features spread out along the singletrack. Sorry no new pics on that...We'll be working on the west side very soon.

I lost a few riders when one crossed the line and challenged me. Breaking quite a few rules that were listed in this forum. A few others followed him out and decided to build in the same set of woods... Within a few months they already stopped building together and started to show up at the boons again. I squashed the beef we had cause i hate having a grudge. Its not me...

I'm just glad they don't show up as much as they use to.

We started to redo the top area of the boons. Tweak and add...

I just sprained my knee for the forth or fifth time...I'll be back on a bike in a few weeks.

Being a trail builder/rider is a tough job but i wouldn't have it any other way

Anyway =)
Here are some pics...nothing to crazy.

360 over spine

Scott(dude in black coat) almost died this year riding his bike. He ruptured his spleen and bled into his stomach...I'm so grateful that he's still around. Truly a nice guy =)

Just started the S-Turn jump on the right...

Maya has the best view from his building, the Willy B!

Me and Stoked! Whats Up Homie =)

I don't mind kids finding the spot every once in a while. I just let them know the deal and they either help or don't come back cause they don't want to dig.

Darryl testing out some grip tape on his seat

S-Turn Landing

Landing leading to the Double Deck Berm

Hellya Bonnies! Nice work Jimmy and crew.

I read about Scott's injury on get-dirty but wasn't sure if it was the same one I met at the spot a few times. Your photo confirms it. Good to know he made it through.

Holy pics!

I appreciate you putting my sorry ass up there with all those great riders. The spot continues to grow and the vibe, as always, is super friendly. Trail boss of the year, folks.

is it city-approved or under-the-radar ? not that it matters just wondering how that works in other cities....

Thanks Fellas =)

I'll definitely let you guys know when we start the west side of Cunningham Park(Public). If any of you guys want to check out The Boons(Underground). Just hit me up...

I'd like to help you guys at Highbridge Park(Public) again. We never got to redo everything i wanted to do last time. Maybe we could really tweak the lines this time around and make the spot feel new.

FYI: At highbridge, the whole area of grass that the big line seems to avoid was gonna be built on. So there could be a few more lines/options. I'll ask and see if we can still use that area.

I'll keep ya posted =)

thanks maestro, will take you up on that offer.
we have a better area to build into, just need to take care of some admin stuff with the parks and fix a few other priorities in their eyes to get access hopefully. They cleared an area of invasives that gives us the same amount of space again and is on a gentle grade. we could do great things once we are allowed in there.
For now we need to work within the footprint we have even if it means pulling down something to make the lines more creative.

Oops. I called it the boNNies. You can use that name for the pump loop. Ha.

Everything's going alright, some tough some smooth but that's expected. Definately not enough riding which I'm putting an end to in a couple weeks with a trip to a snowless warmer climate. Probably can't even make it through the Boonies Bonnie loop right now. (Trying out the new nickname for your pump loop.)

I'll tell Doc and Illz you said what up. Last I heard Ilya was snowboarding one of the stunt gullys at I-Street, a DJ spot in around here. Funny guy.

aye, where did you get that weighted wheel thing with the push handle? i really need one
I recommend the steel roller to anyone. We luckily got one from a friend who does construction. We actually don't fill it with water, which you can do that or sand.

I always like to use a garden rake or leaf rake to groom/comb the final shape. Get leaves, rocks, or anything else out. Once i like the shape, i'll use the roller to compact it overall. It won't pack it fully but does a good enough job where you don't have to pack every single section with a shovel just to get a solid base.

Once you roll it a few times. you can do final shaping much faster. It also seems to roll out a good tranny since its around 16 - 18" wheel size.

yeah. seems would be good for at least getting the face done on lips, and building rollers. i shape with a flatty, and when i need to, fill a wheelbarrow with rocks/dirt/people and use that. the roller is probably more effective though. i'd love to come up and ride there if i'm up
