Don't they just have skinny sizes for 24"? I like around a 2.1 on the back (or a really wide 1.95). Sorry, I'm thread jacking your 26" deal.

micro knobbies in 24 are too skinny imo. 26's look good. those and the primo dirt monsters would be ok if a lil wider.

non folding tabletops are moderately priced.

Ya, thats what I thought. I have the Primo, but I want to get a KHE for the back. Love the TT, though. If was buying 26s that would be it.

yea, i've been running fs100s for years... i'm just hoping to find something a bit lighter for da street akshon. KHEs Parks been a nightmare on my 20, so i duno if i want to mess with those again....

Well ya, your running the stupid explode on impact park tires! I run the dirt on front and street on rear and besides slicing through the front on some glass they have been flawless.

I guess the park is all that is available in 24" so your probably right to stay clear till the offer some other models (Seriously, though, the street on back is money).

nowday i run the animal glhr folding tire or whatever it is on the front, i got it in stupid fat 2.35 for god knows what reason, i presume nose manual wallrides.....one of them darn bmx pros sold me on it.
i still got the park on the back.... will get a street KHE once that one rips open.

I am good with my kenda k rads, they so fresh looking but they do work. Funny how tires in the dj park industry has come down to looks and not grip.

Krads are still tough to beat. Light and cheap, and work well for dirt and street.
The npj looks like it will be nice for street/park.

i have rode tons of street/dirt tires and the intense micro knobbie is the best by far. it rolls super fast on both dirt and street grips anything and is super light. it works surprising well in wet/muddy dirt jump conditions as well. the only downfall is the super small knobs wear down quick if you ride alot of street/park.

I rode a Micro knobby 1.75 R / Primo Dirt Monster 1.95 F for most of the summer.

The 1.75 is a real pinner set-up. Not for everybody, but if you just ride trails and pump-tracks or race BMX, it's worth trying. I ran between 60 and 80 psi in mine. I can't imagine using one of these on the front...mine would let go way before the Dirt Monster in corners.

That said, the Dirt Monster really works on a variety of surfaces. It's worth trying if you ride 24's. Primo really figured something out on that tire. A 2.25" folder for the front would be awesome.

I've got some of the folding Kenda NPJs..not enough time on them to say one way or the other.

Anyone use the Maxxis DTH? That's gotta be the ultimate 24" rear tire. I think it comes in a 1.85 folding rear. I'll probably run that with an NPJ in the front for a good all-round combo. All round for me is riding to the store / trails / pump track / park.

I haven't really had good luck with high volume rear tires. They tend to be squirmy in corners. I'd rather err on the side of too small than too large for a rear tire.

One tire worth looking at for 26" is the Maxxis Cross Mark. I'm using on my XC bike, and it's Very Good. A 310 rear / Cross Mark front would be really freaking light and grippy for dirt.

I'll throw out my usual shout out for the Halo Twin Rails. I love those things. You know what I hate most about tires though? That companies have to put their stupid logos in all kinds of awful colors on the sides... I hate that sh!t. Black Sharpie to the rescue...

maybe the KHE mac2 tires are a good option aswell.. there coming in 26 inch in short while and would blow the competition away i think. A friend of mine runs the 24 inch version and they are so fast rolling on Dirt and Street, insane..

I am currently running a Schwalbe Super Moto on the back w/ a Table Top on front. Great combo for me.

For 24", check out the Tioga Power Block. It is brand new and available in a 2.1. Pretty light too.

Does anyone know if the Power Block will be 26"?

I'm not sure if I should be talking about this thing but here goes...

I have a sample of a Geax Booze Light 26 X 2.3 (58-559) Min 35psi/Max 65psi. I weighed it on a digi-scale @ 622 grams. Pretty light. looks good so far; it Kinda reminds me of a 26" Demolition Zeppelin. I digress...

I am running a Schwalbe Super Moto on the back and like it a lot. It is a great tire for the back. I had one on the front and ended up switching to a Table Top for a little more traction on berms. It has been a really good combo. Since I only have one of these Geax tires, I decided I would mount it to the front. I have been wanting a tire on the front that is slightly smoother than a TT, but not as smooth as a Super Moto. It looks like this could be it:

I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. I plan to hit the park/track/trails this weekend. I'll let you know what I think of it then. I bet this thing would make a great hardpack, Slickrock-type XC tire. It would also look pretty cool on a Beach cruiser. Whatevah...

I rode it around the street a bit and it is very smooth with very little tread vibration. Other than that, that's all I've got for you. I do not know what they will retail for, and I do not know if there will be other sizes. Don't ask if they make 24"ers. I don't know. So far I like it and I think it will be a keeper.

What do you guys think of it?

Whats up with the Arrow tires? I've seen pics of some dj tires with ramped knobs, but never knew anyone who bought them. Back in the day I used the prime wide dh tires and they had good rubber.

back in 01 when i first got into "URBAN" arrow launches were the best tires out there, smooth and fast and grippy.
but they are heavy, and i had at least 3 of them split down seams on me, and thats when i switched to krads/holyrollers and then to fs100s

I was debating as well on new tires. I love my K-Rads that I have had for 2 years so I ordered a new set. I wanted to try out the new NPJ but didn't want to wait any longer. I need a tire that works well on cement, skatelite, wood, dirt, are cheap, light and don't wear fast. K-Rad fits them all very well.

Agreed that the only thing I don't like about them is the colored logos.

mirco knobbies are amazing...i dont know what else you would want in a tire...maybe less volume for the 26" version

hmm they look like larsen tires or small block 8, can't tell. i think cruiser tires can come like that but those look like much better quality than a cruiser tire. the width is throwing me too, look big. some guys have been hand painting the white/tan walls on their tires.

I have ridden k-rads for about 6 months. Then I got my eastern, and got the npj... WAY better, it works for everything from park, to dirt. It grips awesome. I only have run it on the back tire though. I think if I would have run it on the front, I might have washed out a few times at different trails.

Edit: Anyone know where I could buy any more within the united states?

used to love the arrows... ran them back in 2002/2003... bit of a heavier duty tire... relatively large air volume.

i've been using the specialized rhythm tires for a while now. they're fast and grip well on just about everything. i even switched all of the bikes at work over to them and they have held up just fine for urban police chases

I know its 24".. but im about to be running mac2 parks and I must say, the weight, tread, and overall tire is very impressive. and I know they hit it big with the BMX crowd... rumor has it, 26" will be here soooon.
