So since every one else is jumping in on the new bikes I'll post mine up as well.

2007 Sunday. I'm super stoked to try the sunday, I came off a socom and didn't quite like it so hopefully this will be better.

Changes to come...
New 40 that is back at home in the state
Xt brakes that are in the states as well( I can't stand juicy's)
sun add wheelset for play and the hope 5.1's on right now will be race wheels
TI spring

This is my play bike, slalom and mini dh bike.
MkIII with a custom eye2eye shock that gives it a 12 in. bb and a 68 degree HA. Since the picture I have put Wah Wah pedals on it

Comment are welcome! :)

I've got the same stable in my basement; 07 Sunday Elite with an 07 MKIII Team. You'll love the Sunday. Even though everyone is selling theirs it is still one of the best DH bikes out there.

what length is the shock at on your mk3? I shortened a shock to use for slalom by .25" and it helped a lot, I never actually took measurements of the geometry though. Yours looks very low, but real dope!

I don't remeber what it is off the top of my head. I don't have the bike with me at school, I'll measure it and send you a pm when I bring it up here next. Ya its super fun, honestly possibly the best riding slalom bike I've ridden.

Thanks for the comments guys! I'm stoked on the sunday!

All your friends are going to laugh at you now becuase you're not riding a Demo with world cup rainbow stripes. Loser. Just kidding man--bike looks hot. I dig the pink.

eRod--any chance you are the same eRod that rides Jiminy and is from upstate NY?

I have an MkIII...

That went well with my 7point. They rode similarly... the angles and weights were the biggest differences to be honest.

Now my MkIII will go good with my new bike... t-minus two weeks. ;)

It was a fun bike but, it didn't do anything great. I didn't like the feel of the vpp on a dh bike either. It jumped like crap, cornered decently not great though, didn't handle the rough very well, and off camber stuff was decent. It was also super linear. I tried different shock set ups and it helped in some areas and made it worse in others. My final impression was just this isn't the right bike for me. So we'll see how the sunday treats me:)

^ Ya I suppose, if everyone was in love with the same bike there wouldnt be to many options out there with all the different riding styles. I had a DHR prior to my Socom, and its funny, every thing you just listed you didnt like, I find my Socom does better then My DHR did.
Like the Pink though.

I only ask because I'm thinking of replacing mine with something :GASP: cheaper and single pivot.

What have you been looking at?
Well, simply because they are such a good deal and I really like the fact that they are a somewhat local company that actually cares about the riders in the area... Transition. I was a little skeptical of them at first but was actually pretty impressed after riding one (Blindside). I have also had an eye on the new Yeti for some time but the more I hear about the bike and the geometry I am a bit put off. The other frame that was interesting to me was the Commencal but there is essentially no chance to get any sort of deal on that frame, for me at least, so that sort of eliminates that idea.I am still undecided even though I am supposed to be with Transition this year I'm having a tough time letting go of the Intense. Any input? Anyone?

I've ridden a bunch of blindsides and they all feel really good! They corner well, jump well and chunder you can just pin right through it. They are killer bikes with a really good price.

I agree. I like my Socom better than any bike Ive owned/ridden. It ramps up real fast on big hits and drops, almost too much. I just got the Roco PUSHED so hopefully it will be better now. It corners and pedals awesome. It jumps better than anything Ive owned or ridden, also. The only thing I dont like about it is how flexy it is, but I can live with it.

There has been more than one occasion especially in steep rough conditions that my Socom has left more than a little to be desired. A combination of the steepish head angle and sluggishness in the rear end that make it sometimes difficult to stick a line with confidence. Especially under race conditions imho.

Funny. I guess it all depends on the rider and how the bike is set up. My Socom is an 07 and I run a 66, so it is steep compared to other Socoms. I love it in the steep stuff. I feel way more confident on it than I did on my 05 Big Hit/Super T or 02 and 06 Flys with 888s. I did a few rollers this year that I NEVER would have done on my Fly. My Socom is a SMALL so it is really easy to get behind the seat and hold on.

I did get a little time on an IronHorse last year at Whistler and it felt a lot like my Socom.

I guess it depends on what you want out of a bike. Mine is setup pretty much as good as it gets, I spent the last year and a half picking and choosing parts and dialing in the setup, but I still feel like Intense tried to make a frame that is good at everything, and in doing so ended up with a frame that is great at nothing. Yes its a fast bike, yes it does corner well and yes you can race on it but compared to a Turner DHR a Sunday or even a Specialized Demo it never really felt like a purpose built racer, rather a trail bike with more travel. Just one mans opinion I'm not trying to start an e-fight Intense makes great bikes. I just feel as Bikerpunk98199 that its not the bike for me. An M6 on the other hand, I would love to be on but financially it just isn't in the cards. Intense doesn't exactly hand out grassroots sponsorships either, even if I ordered one from my shop I would probably have to wait at least 2 months to get it. Also some would argue that simply getting behind the seat and 'holding on' is not the best technique for going fast. Check out FluidRide- Like a Pro, if you don't believe it, Simon refers to it as 'being at the end of your rope'.

The getting behind the seat and holding on was suppose to be a joke, not how I ride. If it was that easy everyone could ride. Thanks for the pointer on how to ride though. ;) I agree with everything else you said. The Socom is my do all bike so you can see where it works for me; race on Sun, XC, FR, and Trail riding during the week.

Nice stable dude, two awesome bikes right there.
I think you'll be happy with the sunday. My biggest complaint about the socom is that it's too steep, immediately that gives the sunday a pretty solid advantage as a race bike. The sunday is also longer and noticeably lower, and I'm yet to ride anything that will out corner it. The dw-link isn't as "poppy" as single pivots, but it pedals brilliantly and holds traction well. The sunday has quite a linear rate as well, so I'm not sure you'll like that. Ride it and see I guess. I love mine.
