What tires do you guys run on your 4X bikes?

I've seen a lot of bikes with Maxxis Larsen's.
On CRC they have a few different Larsen's: TT FR, TT LUST (UST?), TT XC, TT XC Exception Series.

Which should I choose?

BTW, I did a search but I didn't find any useful threads.

Thanks

I run a highroller 2.35 Front in a single ply super tacky and a larsen 2.1 single ply what ever compound in the back.

It depends on what you want, the fr TT is a dual with wider widths. The TT lust and TT XC's are what I run.

Maxxis Advantage 2.25 60a rear - Minion singleply 2.35 60a Front, and cut
the center knobs to half height on the Minion.
These are more all round set up for slalom and MTX.
TT's on the rear are cool if the course is BMXish....
Some people like the Highroller semi slicks for MTX,
there are kind of heavy I think.

I actually posted a thread with the exact same topic last year. I really like the single ply high rollers and bling-blings. They aren't sold in the US anymore but I just ordered some from CRC. The Larsens roll fast but really lack and corner knobs.

How do you like the Larson's on the back for trail riding on the shore and around Kirkland?
Around Kirkland they are pretty sweet, they roll super fast which I like since we live in the wet PNW. They tend to pack up if you are rollin' slower techy stuff but when you're going the shed pretty good.

For the shore I have been running a 2.35 highroller ust with a 2.35 larsen tt on the back for dry stuff and I love it. It is super fast and the same as my slalom tire set up so I'm use to the tires which is nice. In the wet I have tried a new set up which I really like, I'm running a 2.25 ardent in the front and a 2.1 medusa in the back, or if its really muddy then medusa's front and rear.

I have had good luck with the Kenda small block 8 and a Michelin all terrain 2.35 in the front, good compromise between rolling resistance and cornering ability imho.

True enough, but I wonder if a Maxxis Crossmark would work out in the rear for most conditions (i.e. not sloppy mud or thick dust)? Similar center treads to a Larsen, so it rolls nice, but it also has (IMO) decent cornering knobs that aren't too tall & squirmy. Maybe a little on the light side in the 2.10 "XC" version, but I've been running the heavier 2.1 with very few flatting issues. It also now comes in a 2.25 size. I've been using this tire for awhle now and have found it has solid, predictable handling characteristics, decent braking performance, and like I said has been surprising pinch resistant (albeit, I don't run low pressures).

Really rate the Larsen TTs as well especially the wire beads why I dunno just like em better than the kevlars 2.35s!

I did run a 2.0 UST lust on the rear of my HT and Min up front on some tracks for extra cornering grip and could really lay it over! worked for me!

My 2c Larsen's rock!

I drag the larsen 2.35ST out for the back of my dh bike on really fast tracks, as long as there isn't too much loose s**t on the track it's screaming fast, even does off camber well. It does however still weigh as many boat anchors as maxxis's other DH tyres so it is unlikely to be a very good tyre for slalom

Yes, small block 8's are the heat. Try em', you won't be disappointed.
You guys roll Small Block's front and rear? I like it as a rear cause it's so f-n fast, but with a SB 8 up front I feel like I'm always about to wash out unless the track is perfect.
