I saw kids in Japan rocking Kefiya's in 04 so I bought one. I wore one all through 05/06 for the shock factor and in winter they really help with the cold. I lunch in Silver lake/hollywood and everyone would stare like I was crazy. Two years later all these thight pants queers are rocking them so out they go. Yeah you could blame me and a few cats in NY for starting the Keifiya movement. But why are they called hipsters when they are so late on catching whats cool?

Um... if the style actually came from terrorists. Students outside of the middle east started wearing them to show support for Palistinians, it has nothing to do with terrorists, supporting terrorism, or criminal acts. Terrorists wear them because they're from the middle east and people there wear these.

It's just one more thing that once had some political message or was in some way profound but is now worn by hipsters for aesthetics. I suppose Kifyehs are the new Che.
