$20 for gas for the bike? Are you buying VP Ultimate 4 or something? I can ride all day at the track on 2-3 gallons in my 250F.

I agree on the mini statement. I also have a mini and it is fun as a secondary play bike. But always buy a big bike before a mini.

Exactly. I was joking - it's a 2 stroke. I sent that clip to my friends crying about blowing my 4T up (I hadn't told anybody I was in the market for a smoker) so we'll see who bites.

Weedy - Looks like some Stairsteps or Parkfield action in there? Ever see that video of someone gapping up two of the waterfalls??

Sickness. Unfortunately, we winterized our place out in Bluemont this weekend and the ttr along with it. . .

I had been getting some good practice tearing up our property, but nothing quite as gnar as those vids. I'm still a little scurred to take it up my dh trails but perhaps in the spring i'll get up the balls to give it a go.

LOL I'm the broski in the decade old Fox gear with the tattered 125, not the dude-bra with all the safety gear, brand new leathers, and brand new 250.

bikenweed-

Hey was just going over the results from the PCGP from this past Sunday...what happened on that third lap man? You ok?

Are you racing Thunderhill this Sunday? Wanna 'Truck-pool'...hit me up.
Hey! Ummm, who are ya? How'd your race go? What class?

PCGP was my first real moto race ever. Laps 1 and 2 were OK, but I wasn't riding aggressively or even having any fun. Then I flatted near the end of lap 2, and rode the last mile or so with the rear flat. I cruised through the finish to time it out, asked around and found out that as long as I got back in where I left the course, I could keep racing. 20 minutes later, rear flat fixed, I got back in the race with tons of energy and excitement, and had a blast knocking over all kinds of people and making tons of jackass passes.

It was really nice having a breather, that course killed your hands!

I can't afford T-hill this weekend. We're planning a trip on the 7th up to Shasta to pre-ride the enduro course, and we're definitely doing the Picacho Creek enduro on Valentine's day. Wooooot!

I race the C Vet Plus this year. Just started racing last year. PCGP was the firstone last year, and it was in the mud.
Yeah it was a semi rough course. Lots of small whoops over and over. Tight course, amazing those guys can lay out that much singletrack at PCGP!

I gotta work on my starts, I'm always too passive letting all the knuckleheads try and take one another out in the first four corners. My times always get faster as the race goes on, but I have got to learn to hang it out more in the first half lap.:disgust1: That's my goal for next Sunday, to pin the first half lap and then hang on for dear life. :twitch:

Cheers!

I'm happy to announce that rather than pissing away twice as much money on a bike with no engine this spring, I have opted for a well used 1995 yz125. She needs some TLC but already has a new carb, rebuilt engine, and upgraded suspension. Should be ready to hit the trails in a week or so.

motos take care of the need for speed pretty quickly and i have found myself spending more and more time on it during the winter months, this past saturday i had a 5th gear head on with another biker that was by far the worst crash i have ever had, i spent the night in ER and have not been enjoying today very much..... the poor steed got pretty lit up and as i dont have the $ to fix it its going to spend a while in the garage, here is she friday night.... oh so sad!

Yeah it sure was! we were on a double track trail in a really fast section and we both came around a sweeping corner and boom. We both got ko'd, and amazingly i lost a boot(all of the straps tore out for his tire hitting them) and my heltmet strap snapped as we hit head/head, as i yard saled minus a helmet my face got smashed, it was really horrid, pretty lucky with how it all turned out, the bike just takes $ to fix, while the body is going to take time.

Christallmighty thats a nasty story. At least when you have head ons on mountain bikes one person is typically going really slow. . .

What's wrong with the bike?

Yeah it was pretty lame, the only serious problem is a broken foot, so all n all pretty lucky, that pic was taken friday night(just got a new tank), and the crash was yesterday, so as of now the entire left side is gone along with front wheel/fork ect. As i was laying their dazed and confused looking into the sky i noticed my goggles hanging from a tree like 20ft up, nuts! so i guess the postive is that i will be riding mtb more!

No bueno! Head ons are a nasty reality at today's overcrowded riding areas. Definitely a bummer.

I was riding a ton this winter, until last week my bike broke down an hour out from the truck. After humping it back and getting home, turns out my fresh new Wiseco piston lost some chunks and I need to split the cases and get a new cylinder jug. Awesome!

Any idea what happened to the piston? I just put a Wiseco in mine and - whether internet wives tale or not - have been real sure to warm it up for 5+ minutes before going WOT for fear of a cold seize.

Here's mine:

Sickest bike i have ever ridden, i had a cr250 prior, which was awesome but didn't have the same suspension feel as my TM. I bought it as new from a UK Factory rider in 2006, very tweaked bike, running at over 60bhp for a 125cc!!!

Sadly i smashed myself up pretty good racing it and jacked it all in last year. Got the holeshot at a regional race, over a table and bam...overshot it and landed in a heap, dislocated shoulder and concussion on impact then got mowed over by a heap of bikes. Scared the hell out of me to be honest, and i had raced for a few years. Now I stick to the DH now, for me its just that 'bit' safer.

Just LOVE the smell of two stoke oil though, just makes me wanna mx again.....
