Hmmmm, Looks quite similar to a certain frame that has the same style of linkage!!!

The frame from that one pic looks really good though. I'm digging that hydroformage.

looks like a cross between a session 88 and a sunday.

Cool looking bike though, hopefully this doesn't spark another dw v meastro debate!

hahah, it lacks the cool swoopyness of the 88 and the incredibly well thought out cleanness of the sunday, maybe since its uglier people will let it go as "another one of giants good ride, good value, but incredibly boring bikes"

The one Rando rode 08 looked great. I had a chance to take a close look at it in Schladming.

The new one looks even better and the changed the shock position too. Very sunday like, which is good.

Very pleasing aesthetically IMO. If the shoe fits when it comes out, I plan to pick one up. It'll be time for a new frame by then anyway.

Very sweet. I also heard a rumour that the Faith is comming back for a re-design next year. Well it will be a new freeride bike replacing the Glory-8 which they will call "Faith"

Wow.. someone at Giant did the math regarding how many bikes with a patent infringement can sell -vs- lawyer fees to fight the infringement....

Freakin lame... Hopefully Giant pays for this big time.

I think it looks nice. The tubes are cleanly executed and while the shock is vertical and it uses a dual diamond frame, the linkage arrangement looks different than what the Sunday used. I'm willing to bet they've done their legal homework and if we discredited the number of bikes that looked similar to one another, we'd have no road cycling or hardtails whatsoever.

Fact is, the Sunday was a cleanly executed and well thought out design. It's likely that Turner isn't using it because it would make the bike look like an Iron Horse. Iron Horse isn't using it because they can't. That means...somebody else can make a bike that looks like that, and sell it...despite the e-****storm

All you people concerned about patents on two links should quit stressing it.

Glider chairs have had two-link set ups for the last hundred years. No one at Ikea is pissed off that Dave W used something similar to make a bike. Two triangles moving on two links... no biggie. And if it is, the right people will take the right actions to protect their inventions.

My single pivot feels more snappy in the corners.
