Shop in our new place. Didn't go for the pegboard this time since we're usually packing up all our tools on the weekends to go racing, so makes more sense to keep them in the toolboxes.

Truly amazing! Along with the beer fridge, you need a urinal and a sound system. Basically, heaven.
Sound System is in the Theater Room next to it. Still have to put a Bath Room in downstairs. Will be doing that soon.

Do you have copper drain lines?
don't let the meth heads find out about those...
Yes everything is Copper in the House. It was built in 1968. Could have got a lot of $$ for the Copper a Year ago and replumed my whole house with PVC and made money. Can't now, due to Copper pricing dropping.

I'm digging the abundance of orange. Once I get my 380 back together I'll have to post up a pic of my shop.

That picture was taken on a bro weekend at my hacienda. Only one of the KTMs is mine. The Makula is National Champ Geritt Beytagh's. Also hidden in there are 7 more DH bikes and a CRF150f.

I'm pretty sure I've posted pics of my shop before, but here it is as it looks today. Pretty messy, but somehow slightly organized, too.

The view as you enter from the mudroom:

Looking back from the opposite side of the room:

The workbench and tools:

Some of the bikes hanging from the ceiling and my Robot Ron costume from a couple Halloweens ago:

My two main bikes, my WR, and the insulated roll-up warehouse door that allows me to get everything in and out easily:

my shop- it's very small, but that made it fun to figure out. I modified my bike stand to be set back to give more room when working on it. Then I made a narrow bench to work with the space. Having something bigger will be nice, but for now, this is working awesome.

Yeh, and the plumbing is already there by the floor, ready to be connected . :brows: :D

No worries, just wait for the next war, prices usually go up then, one will surely come soon enough and it's not like the copper tubes will get old and rust/crack.

What kind of truing stand is that?
It's homemade, where I copied what I liked from the Var and the Park stands, and added a few of my own ideas. I wanted the wheel to be supported very well (Var), the stand to look clean, and be durable. I'm pretty happy with it. You have to be careful with the calipers not to scratch your rim, so if I owned a shop, i would have to change that. But if you're careful, it's not a problem. My buddy is a graphic designer, so that's his Snoqualmie brewery tap handle label plastered on there.

Sweet wheel stand, first vote is the shop with a bench grinder and a heavy duty vise. second vote is the one with the monitor worth more than than the g4.

For a bench:
I don't have "plans", but if you start with 2x4's, some 2-1/2" long screws, some 3/4" plywood, you'll be able to figure something out. For the frame on this bench, there is nothing more than 2x4's around the perimeter of the plywood. Just measure, see how big you want your bench to be in the space you have, then make your top that size. Once the top is cut, you can hold it up in the area and see if it looks right. If it does, frame up the rest of the bench. I would probably add more bracing to mine in hindsight, because it does shake when I use the hacksaw. It could be just how narrow/tall it is too, or the fact that half of it is on wheels :0

Oops, you meant the bikes garage!

Not as pretty as some of the others, but it works, these pics were taken in the fall. It's a work in progress, the TV on the workbench has been replaced with a flatscreen on the wall, a couple more banners are up, more tools have been added, replaced the stool with one with a cushion, a couple of the bikes have been replaced, etc.

Oh, and the black furball that is curled up under the workbench, he is no longer with us. Kinda bummed about that, he was a good garage cat.

I have one of those gravity stands in my garage as well. It looks like you have somewhat unconventional mounting of the lower hooks on both racks - one under the seat, and where is the second one?

Dude, sweet set up. I want your Freestyler carcass.
Thanks OG, that was the first bike I (not the 'rents) bought in '85. It's the only survivor from about the 15 bikes (over about 10 years) that I had when I lived at home.

I only use the one arm, the front wheel sits on the floor.

Damn, there are some crazy-nice setups in this thread. I'm jealous. My house doesn't even have a garage or a basement. I guess that's the advantage to working at a shop though: I get to use the tools and benches at work pretty much whenever I want.

Shops are sweet.

But being able to do everything I can at the shop at home is pretty sweet too. Especially since I get to drink at home. I go to the shop to press my headset in, since I'd rather use a headset press then a hammer and a block of wood, and same with removing headset cups. For everything else, its at home.

I'll post one up soon

Brian, nice setup. You are making me want to get another BMX bike!!!! I will have a STP built up soon to take out to the old Track.... Can't wait. I bet I will not even make it around the track at speed right now with out gasping for air!!!

Thanks Cecil, and I know for sure that I can't make it around without gasping for air. But I'm working on that. Both those BMX bikes have been replaced by an Intense Podium cruiser. No more 20" racing for me, getting too old and can't make the switch from a 26" to a 20" quickly anymore.
