So this could get deleted or moved to another thread but, has anyone looked at the dates of this against DOT projects? The hood canal bridge will be closed so from what I know the only way to PA is up 101, driving from Seattle they make it sound like you will have to drive all the way to olympia then back North. Is there any other way then that or the Port Townsend Ferry?

Just wondering if the date still stands for the location or if this is something that popped up after planning. Maybe a venue shift for the six weeks? Or do I just need to start saving for gas? This would cut off the edmonds/kingston route most people favor for sake of discussion or not.

I really want to make races but that is a HUGE drive around.

Scheduling made this the optimal weekend for the race. If you are coming from Seattle, it will be an extra hour, and it's actually a pretty sweet drive up the canal anyway. There is another way from Bremerton that may or may not be quicker? You turn south in Gorst and go through Belfair to Union and go north on 101. We'll post all the optional directions as the race nears.

Sweet! I know there is more being put into this then just a bridge closure, was more curious how if at all it would affect things. I remeber hearing a few months ago about the closure and was putting chips on the fact it would be a FRC weekend heh.

Thanks for keeping us updated!

Semi off topic question:

Having never raced at PA before, will there be different runs for different classes? Beg/sport on one run, then X/Pro on (obvisouly) a more difficult run? Or do all classes do the same run?

Thanks!
Matt

The first two races there last year it was beg/sport on one course and ex/pro on another of more tech variety. The third race, they split up the beg/sport course about halfway down...not sure if they did the same with ex/pro, though.
Answered my question perfectly!
