Doesn't that pertain to the tax cuts? The govy is going to cut our taxes and change the amount they take out of our checks, in essence giving us a pay raise. Good, more money for me to save :p

<edit> You can read more about the Senate version of the stimulus here

house and senate versions have a provision for $500/person refundable tax credit on people making up to 75k (or 150k per couple). who knows whether it'll be a check in the mail or a reduction in the taxes your company takes out.

This aide spoke on condition of anonymity because the negotiations are private...
What ever happened to STFU? There used to be a time when private conversations remained private.

If I had more people behind me, I'd be the first in the line to go tell them to stuff it up their GREEDY ASSES and tear up the F'N check on live TV. I want to be the president of the revolution. How do I do that.

How about FTG (F*** the government) organization. What do I do? How do I start this. This, greater than anything in life is what I'm most passionate about. I can not stand greed and deceit.

Hell, give it to the banks. Bail out GM. F OBAMA and F the GOVERNMENT.

I'd say take your $400, invest it for the future when your taxes are going to shoot up, or inflation is going to take place but the math doesn't quite work out. $400/person tax cut saved now doesn't exactly equal $2300 tax burden in the future... :(

Nothing the government does makes sense. Most are still asleep to the deception. But I'm wrong, right? I'd say keep my money and put it in a pool to help the folks that are laid off and wondering how the hell they will pay their mortgage with NO JOB IN SIGHT. I'm serious, there are literally NO JOBS. I know about 20 people laid off for the past year. Many are losing their homes. Think Obama gives a sh*t about them?

So I'm still not getting a puppy, right?

This is NOT the change I voted for.

<edit>

On a serious note, why do you think he wants to put money into community projects and alternative fuels? If we spend money building wind farms and solar fields, that creates jobs for engineers, machinists, welders, project managers, you name it.

Granted you might need to learn a new skill, but this isn't like your parents day where you went to work for GM and retired fat and happy after 30 years of faithful service. I would love to work on management software for backup fuel systems.

Not enough fat bastards would get rich off that though. It's all about politicians and executives getting FAT.

I'm all for that as not only will it employ people now, but it'll also save money in the future. Same with money for winterizing homes, upgrading our electrical grid, making government buildings more efficient, etc.

That's how I see it, anyway. There is a funny bumper sticker on a hippie car here at work that says "Renewable Energy IS Homeland Security".

I hope they pump money into alt. energy projects...Oregon has a very friendly environment for those types of companies and I wouldn't mind working for one of them (for a large salary and stock options of course :))
