What all is out there?
I'm looking a 5" to ~6" travel aggressive trail bikes that can:
-take a triple ring
-5/6 inch fork
-pedals well
-can build up around 30#
-take a full length seat post
-has a warranty (see IH)
-relatively slack angles

Intense has a bunch of bikes in that travel range. Yeti has the 5.75. Santa Cruz has the Heckler and Nomad...
What else is there?

I just went on my first real ride with my new SS. I just my new fork (Lyrik) today. It is pretty sweet. Much better at going up than I anticipated. It also felt much more like a full on DH bike than I anticipated. The BB is low, and you notice it when riding singletrack, but that is a trade-off for superb handling. A trade I'm willing to make. I just wouldn't run it without a bash.
And yes, I'm 6'1" and run a 410mm Thomson. The post size is a nice fat 31.6 so I think it will be ok.

Yeah, Boyeeee! I've searched long and low for such a ride. In my opinion, you can't go past a bullit or a heckler depending on how aggro you want to get.

Get one for me too while you're there.

I wasn't a fan until I rode one:

Bernie at the shop has one built up and he hits Blackrock with it. Not only has it held up to some serious abuse, but it is light and pedals well.

<edit> The new Bullit is awesome.

Ventana El Ciclon comes in at 5.5" travel. El Terremoto has 6" travel. You can get these full custom if so inclined (custom angles, top tube, geometry and color)

Foes FXR = 6.5" travel. proprietary shock is love/hate - although they do have Fox shocks as options.

Titus El Guapo = 6" travel. I'm non plussed with this one - but it fits your description.

Very nice!!! I am heavily debating the Crossmax SLRs instead of the SLs because of the weight difference. Either way, it will be super light for a bike of that travel. What wheels do you run?
I went with the Industry Nine all mountains. They come with DT Swiss rims- I've already been through a rear one.

Seconded, this build is essentially my trail bike as well. I runs a 6" Zoke in the front with no issues. Slack, accelerates well (short CS), can be built to about sub 30 if you try.

Caveat: You need to run an e type front der for multiple front rings.

how does the Khyber ride? I have been thinking about picking one up when the Ruckus dies(which at my weight won't be long now).
I'd do it, it's a really fun bike, I run the Nugget and the Boot'r but the Khyber is kind of a mix of the two. Perfect bike to ride the woods on, do some drops and jumps, and even hit the slopes a couple times with.

Ah...I passed on the I9 wheels when I bought the bike because I have loved my Mavics and intended to get a pair. Wha's the rest of your build look like? I have the FOX Talas 15mmQR, XTR drivetrain and brakes, carbon bars & seatpost and I should have a Terry Falcon X on it shortly as I don't particularly love the Yeti saddle.

Be warned - the Mavic Crossmax rear hubs are not so great.

ever think of keeping your opinions to yourself? You're like the Catholic church of 29'ers.

I've been looking at the Niner WFO as a future bike... I have to admit, I was skeptical at first, but after a few test rides, I'm a 29'er convert as well...

+1 for the Intense Tracer

I have a Giant Reign, 6" in the back and 5" up front. Great all around bike. My only complaint is the fork, I would like something a bit stiffer, the new 15mm Float would probably fix that.

I have...

Fox Float RLC 140mm fork
XTR cranks and front derailleur
XO shifters and rear derailleur
Sram 991 hollow pin chain
Eggbeater Ti pedals
Syntace stem and carbon post
Hope Pro Mini brakes (awesome! 100gms lighter per end than Juicy Ultimates!)
matching Hope skewers and seat clamp
Truvativ carbon bars
I9's- currently running UST Maxxis Ignitors

I've been through the saddle gamut as well. Started with a WTB Devo- that didn't work out. Went with the Yeti saddle, ran that for about 6 months, now I'm back to old faithful- a WTB Rocket.

Here's a stupid question?

What is the deference between the Trance and the Reign? They look a lot alike.
