It's been awhile since I posted over here, so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity. Unknown to me...and the rest of the mtb world...my wife put a deposit on this beauty way back in 2007 as a wedding present. Needless to say...I am extremely stoked!

What started off as simple tubes...

Turned into a frame...

and eventually came to my front doorstep as a candy red work of art...

Nice bike, drool worthy.

One question is it an illusion that the seat tube is slack caused by the 29 wheel?

Thanks!

It is that slack because the goal was to have really short chain stays to make the bike turn faster and have a lighter front end. The interrupted seat tube design allows you to tuck that bigger wheel in closer and shorten the overall wheelbase. The result is a 29er that turns faster and is easier over obstacles.

Beautiful build. Can you explain how the PW BB were pressed directly into the BB of the frame? So they are not external?

Thanks for all of the stoke on this ride! It rides better than it looks...if you can even believe that.
