Bought 2 pair of cannondale socks about 1994.

Still going strong. Not even a hint of a hole appearing. Most socks last a few months.

Should post pics. There are brown ankle socks with lizard design in the spandex cuff. Spandex is not even strecthed out. Incredible. I think they were made with some Kevlar, not sure anymore though....

i sold all my old bikes this year, making my 2008 electric bike my oldest and only steed. however, some old parts live on:

- my Answer Protapers are originally from my 1st production run Evil Imperial, so, what, 2002?
- the fork, courtesy of buildyourown, is a GT cromo model from about 1999
- i'm still rocking a WTB SST saddle from way before the recent revival

My oldest...
My Karpiel Apocalypse. I'm running the old Risse Jupiter/Astro 5 shocks on it still. Just need a 9" travel champ fork for it now to be complete.

And the Fat Chance Yo Eddy, complete with older XT components and a Rock Shox (Judy?) 1" steerer fork and 1" CK headset. Bought if off a buddy a year ago, its fun but scary to ride on the trails out here.

I dig the older bikes/components more than the new ones.

Now that you mention clothing, I do have a pair of Pearl Izumi baggies (Minus the liner...) that I still wear, 12 years later...heavy rip stop cotton, and a couple pairs of Airator (sp?) socks from a race back in the same era.

My commuter is a '98 bigfoot that gets ~120miles a week of usage. Front hub /wheel is original and the rear wheel was replaced shortly after getting the bike in '98 - neither has ever been rebuilt. BB is original. Indy C fork is original as is the no-name headset.

I've still got my '88 Trek 830 Antelope. The Shimano Exage Trail Biopace rings and cranks have just recently been put out to pasture, and the rear wheel got replaced when I put a huge dent in the rim and decided to replace the whole wheel.

Honestly, I hardly ever ride it anymore. Mainly used for trips to the pub.

Atom Lab Aircorp pedals...7 years on them and still going great.
i bought a new pair on ebay for $50 as a backup
You're probably the only one who hasn't had a pedal fall off the spindle, bearings suddenly blow up, etc on those pedals. I have some old parts from a set I bought in the CycleCraft days (probably on your recommendation) if you want them sometime. Bearings blew and I didn't want to replace them because they didn't seem to work right. I'll trade you for a tube or something.

Anyways, old stuff....have two Camelbaks from around 1999-ish, an Ultegra shifter on my road bike that's been in constant use since about 1999. My XC hardtail is a Kona Muni-Mula from a while back with all older parts- v-brakes, 517/King wheels, square taper RF Turbines, 8 speed. Did a two hour XC ride on it yesterday.

Maybe my most used piece of equipment is a pair of 747 SPDs. I bought them third-hand used around 2000. I don't even know how many bikes they've been on. Now they're on my cx/road bike. Older Shimano pedals (and probably newer ones too) are crazy durable.

Still have my first MTB from 1991. Has XT components, ano purple Easton Hyperlite bar and the first generation Italia Filte saddle. Don't ride it much except for when taking one of the kids for a ride.

Also have pair of those Hutch pedals, the original ones which I have had since 1987 or so.
