Irony at C'nade

So let me start off by saying that I am by no means a helmet Nazi. If you don't want to wear a helmet, that's you perogative. It's your body and you can do what you want with it.

But; last Wednesday I was down at Colonnade and saw a helmetless guy riding in full Lycra (once again, it's your body and you can do what you want with it). What was ironic about this was that his jersey had a Cascade Bicycle Club logo prominately displayed and had EMT/Paramedic logos all over it (as if he was maybe an EMT on a CBC sponsored group ride or something)

Anyway, it struck me as odd and I thought I'd share.

Lots of things I could say about stupid people at c-nade, like the guy who decided to go around all the signs and fences on the double black dimond jump line, drop in without even looking at the line, and then jump off the side of a jump and dislocate his shoulder :)

A different place, but similar experience. Up at galby, I saw a dude with full armor and no helmet - his buddy behind him had a chest protector, arm pads, and of course, no helmet. Either they both forgot their helmets, or...

Your body but....if someone gets really messed up that will be bad PR for bike parks.
Think about how your actions may cause problems for the rest of us.

It's like that to freak out people like you. Kind of cool to see it's working...
Seriously, I don't care if you're gay or not. I just don't see the need to flaunt being gay everywhere I go especially when I'm out doing my favorite thing in the world, mountain biking. It's my escape from this silly world.

Maybe it's shaped like a rainbow so someone painted it like a rainbow. Or maybe it's located in Hawaii. Or maybe someone had a bunch of extra paint they wanted to get rid of (which I think is actually the real story).

But either way, thanks for the laugh.
