Happy April Fools Day, monkeys! It's an anniversary day for me...one month since I tore up my knee, and seven years since I started working at this company. My previous long for one employer was three years.

Not much on the slate for today, other than some kind of pedaling cardio at the gym tonight.

Enjoy your day, yo.

good moring!

With all the hype about this "kornfvcker" computer virus going around, I half expected my laptop to try and choke me this morning.

IAB; I'm sure I just missed it, but what is the plan for your knee? You are stuck needing surgery sooner or later, yes?

Weather sucks again, so no riding today aside from the trainer.

Nick, I am scheduled for surgery May 5. I still can not bend or extend my leg all the way and am walking with a pretty good limp and the knee is still sore. I've ditched the brace and crutches though.

Morning monkeys!

Changes are afoot at the office. The Area Manager is nowhere to be seen, and the Administrative Assistant was offered the Office Manager position.

Funeral yesterday was good, being it was a funeral. I realized how much I hate wearing a tie.

Not much for today, just a "high impact" workout tonight. I need to get rid of some stress.

Morning all. I only got about 3 hours of sleep last night. Don't know what was wrong with me, but I couldn't stay asleep. Neither could Syd so we read books until she crashed on me (we were reading in bed with a bunch of pillows propped around us) and I couldn't bring myself to get up and put her in bed so there we stayed until about 5am when Sq-Earl got up. He couldn't believe we stayed that way all night. Oh well...a mom's gotta do what a mom's gotta do sometimes. I am beat today and in need of more coffee for sure.

G'morning y'all!

Am feeling pretty good today, although tired for some reason.

I took a fellow monkey's advice yesterday & "sucked it up"... hit a little singletrack all by myself last night. Although, I will admit that I was always VERY relieved to see the people I saw in the park & was extrememly uncomfortable when I lost sight of them... I never knew how comforting complete strangers could be!

I was worrying about that computer virus, too, Nick... it looks as if I was untouched - although it appears as if my BF may be one of the casualties. Bummer for him.

Let's all hope the rain holds off late enough for us to get a ride in tonight!

I wish you all a fantastic day!

Good Morning!!

IAB.....hang in there. I've had more knee surgeries than Kirstie Allie has doughnuts. You'll feel so much better in no time.

Uneventful couple of days so far. I'm still waiting on the decision for the job. Just got an email from the CEO saying that they're reviewing everything, doing the background/driving record checks and such and I should be hearing from them at some point after they get all of that straightened out. I'm not feeling too positive about the outcome for some reason. No worries on the background/driving thing, but I just kind of get this sinking feeling for some reason. Maybe I'm insulating against rejection.......:busted:

Rain scheduled for today.....we might get a chance to hit the DJ's, but I doubt it. We've been rained out for the last three weeks, why not one more, right?

Y'all have a great day!

Mornin' y'all! Easy day today, I hope.

GH: In your situation, no news is NOT good news. You heard from them, I expect it will be all good.

Rain expected for here, working from home tomorrow so maybe a lunch ride??

Greyhound, hearing from the CEO is a positive sign. Usually if they are not interested, you never hear a word.
Cool......I was just sent their official application from HR. It's just down to me and one other person, so at least I have a 50/50 shot.

What really steams me from a job searching standpoint, is seeing people several levels above me career-wise applying for sh*tty jobs I'm trying to get. No fair, a**hole.....you've got a freakin' PhD and you're applying for something in the water purification field??!!! That's how bad it is out there, folks. IBM just knocked off 3,500 in our area.....boy does that ever shrink your possibilities like George Costanza in a cold pool.

"I was in the pool......I was in the pooool!!"

Good morning, monkeys!

Yesterday was crazy, today, not so much. I was supposed to close on my house on Friday, wait, Monday, no, first thing Tuesday.

So yesterday I got to the title office for my scheduled 8:30 appointment to sign the next 30 years away. The first question out of the gals mouth was "So did you bring a cashiers check?" My response was "For what?"

Seeing how I was told I didn't need to bring anything, it was quite a shock to find out they expected me to pay the remaining $1688 worth of "new" closing costs not previously covered. I walked away ready to beat someone to death just for fun. After a few frantic phone calls, the lender said "we can go ahead and eat the difference, please go back and sign". I did and was told everything was perfect.

I got my keys at 4:30 and we are now proud townhome owners. We will move in over the next few weeks as weather and schedule allow.

Cripes, someone just microwaved their lunch and I swear it smells like dog sh!t. :dead:
That does not sound good for lunch.

We have a few people here that funk up the microwave. If you don't get in before them, no matter what you are having for lunch will now smell like ass.

I used to work with a chinese guy who would microwave some godawful combination of sardines, veggies and rice. Nasty.
