Does anyone know what the hemispherical windows near the rear of vans were called? I've searched in vane and cannot find a single picture or proper name for them.

Van's were big in the 70's not 80's. Mini vans for the 80's.
I actually had one of those in the 80s. Shag carpet, captains chairs, fake wood paneling, and of course the porthole windows. I used it to travel around to bike races and triathlons, and it had a couch across the back inside that folded out to a bed. Slept like a baby in there and woke up fresh at the race venue.
Plus it was great for bangin' my girlfriend. My friends called it the Shaggin' Wagon.
