U suck man, mine comes in next Monday, but only 1 frame 1 shock though. My build will be nowhere near as nice as yours. Just random pieces thrown together

Nah seriously, so jealous right now.

Wasn't kidding about the RF cranks tho.

i really liked the makulu so i decided on two. one will be at my residence in canada and the other will be brought back to southern california where i spend time at my second home. (i can't be bothered to pack up and take apart my bike everytime i fly...)

with two of the same bikes and multiple shocks i can set up my bikes for specific areas where i ride....besides i love my toys. i am totally guilty of this for my bikes and my cars. but you only live once so enjoy it.

since i've only just built one so far. i haven't had any time on the trail with this bike yet. the dorado felt really nice out of the box along with the bike as well. but once its dialed in and set up properly i'll post more info.

ahh, materialism at it's finest.

words cannot express the jealousness.
and please end the pain by telling us what you do so I can immediately change my career path.

and since we know you love Makulu's, what is your automotive poison?
2 Lambos? 2 Vipers?

Why not have two exactly the same spec?

All you would need is different suspension settings to suit different places!

My brother has a sunday, as do I but just the minutest things like a different stem can drastically alter the way it feels.

i have a career in the energy ultilities business...lucky for my career choice...everyone needs electricity :clapping:

i have serious addiction to cars...but no lambos...porsche's...( i do want one...)

2008 Audi RS4 with a dual RevoTechnik ecu's, Statis Ohlins coil overs & sway bars, CAW custom fab stainess race exhaust, 8 piston brembos w/ 15" 2pc vented cross drilled rotors, JHM motorsport short shift linkage and shifter, 19" BBS ch wheels and 19" Audi RS4 wheels, Audi roof rack for my makulu's. its really fast with 460 ft/lbs of torque starting at 2200 rpm dyno'd at 3500 ft.

2002 Mercedes C230 Coupe Kleemann Edition with a Kleemann supercharger upgrade and Kleemann exhaust, 19" Carlsson wheels.

2002 Mercedes E360 sedan with 18" AMG wheels.

I would have loved to build two exact makulu's with dorado's. Unfortunately, I was told Canada only recieved 5 units for resale. My buddy and I were fortunate enough to receive 2 out of 5. So the boys at the shop thought it would be cool to build a SRAM bike and a Shimano bike to see the differences.

i'm in the OC not the valley...the valley is where the "adult stars live and play" lol.

That elka shock you have is sweet. The guy at the shop I go to has one on his bike and it rides nice. It is one of the best I found.

That's encouraging. I haven't heard too much about the Elka, I think once I hear some in-depth reviews I might try one out. The BOS is a bit expensive and hard to get serviced in the US, and the CCDB I had earlier was good, but not mind-blowingly good. Maybe a Vivid would be something to try.

The taxes in Calgary are pretty low too. :)

Nice bikes... we are all jealous.

Funnily enough I've just taken a new job in the energy industry... maybe I'll be buying a new toy soon. :)

damn! just curious, when is the new boxxer coming out? this is starting to bother me, since I want to buy one soon! hehe. Im loving your bikes, have you thought about trying different brakes and rims set ups? those are some good hand to hand comparisons. Ive been told good things about the elka by a friend of mine who rides motorcycles. Its a pretty good price at 450 without spring. The do the valving for you out of the factory too with no aditional cost!

yes i can drive my cars fast and ride my bikes fast enough. i'm fast enough to keep up with all my friends on the street and on the dirt. will i ever out drive my rs4 or out ride my makulu's...NO. i enjoy riding and driving so i will indulge on the finer things in life...as long as i can afford it...why not...

some people spend thousands on art...i spend it on toys with wheels.

Yeah, why the F&ck not. Enjoy it best you can. My guess is you are single and under 35? I did the same sh!t before I got married and I highly recommend it.

My days of new expensive toys are becoming very limited - marriage wasn't enough of a hinderance so I had to go one more step and now we have a little one on the way. Wouldn't trade it for anything though! I'll get my R8 when I'm 65:imstupid:

HA, awesome bikes! to the OP, you and I would get along well. If there's any openings in your company for mangement/project management/logistics let me know I've been looking for an excuse to move out west again.

I have the same "problem"... epic builds on everything from cars to motorcycles to bikes to computers. I also have an S4, cept mine is B5 flavor, biturbo for the win! Also modded to hell, like my other 2 cars.

Toys are great, and stimulating the economy is a perk :)

And yes, i am under 35(23) and single. I work in the Ultrapure Water industry, we cater to medical research, biotech, and big pharma... so our industry isn't going anywhere either.

Nice to see someone spending some serious money on toys. Not a fan of the Makulu, but quite envious of the RS4! :)
