Where the riding is good
We've been blessed with some moisture recently and have made the best of it. For the past few weeks, we've been digging like crazy. Here's some of our handy work. These photos only show the new stuff, not any of the 20+ old jumps.

Damn. I really need to get out and dig before the moisture all dries up, but somehow I think the doctor wouldn't advise digging whilst in a cast.

the skippers to lofty hip looks nice. Great work especially with that drier dirt. Looks like it's hard to get it to hold shape.

Did some more work today . . .

The biggest lander, ever.

So many options!

We're going to have a big community dig day this Saturday. Stay tuned for details.

BTW, the skippers to hip to tombstone to the mega landing is the funnest line in Colorado. Hands down. It's only gonna get better once we link up the triple to berm.

Because deep down you know you haven't dug enough.

This Saturday, April 11, come out to Sunset and get your dig on. The place has TAKEN OFF in the past three weeks, and we need to make some final touches. With your help, it will be the PREMIER JUMP SPOT IN COLORADO.

We've already made the most fun line in Colorado, now let's extend it. Those of you that haven't been there in the past three days will be BLOWN AWAY by the progress that has been made. Check out the pics for our recent additions and improvements.

Now then, here's the lowdown:

You are required to bring AT LEAST one of the following
- Flat shovel
- Spade shovel
- Push broom
- Pick
- Tamper
- Rototiller
- 12 pack of PBR
- Water pump and generator
- Boom box with rad music
- Easter bunny costume
- Professional photo/video equipment

We will be digging ONLY from 11-4, followed by an epic sunset ride session. Understood? People not participating in the dig portion will be forced to eat hissing cockroaches off of the nasty white couch, pick up and pack out all of the trash, drink the standing water out of the trash bucket, and other terrible things. I mean it. You will be shunned.

Also, please park on the street. Message/call me for directions if you need them.

BE THERE.

Dug 'til my hands bled today, then kept going.

We moved a mountain of dirt today, making tomorrow even more promising. Sunset is looking SO good right now, and with your help it will be the best in the state.

Don't forget to bring an item or two off the list above. We'll be digging from 11-4 tomorrow (Saturday, April 11), but feel free to show up early - I'll be out there. Also, because I know it will happen, don't be the person who shows up right at 4pm . . . not cool.

Shred!

best part about digging is shaping the goliath pile of dirt while your hands are bleeding. Its best to use the blood to wet down the dirt.

Yes they do.

Built a 7 or 8' tall dirt spine today. It's going to rule once the recent snow/rain dries up.

A dirt spine you say....

Here's the way we embeded wood copping to handle stall/pegs....

Side view, basically its two 4x4's and 2x4's to hold then together. The dirt fills the middle and will merge the base with the top.

Front view.....you can see the 2x4's spread apart so the dirt from the top can connect with the base/bottom.

Once you have wood embeded you can actually attach some angle iron if wanted but we just have carpet to keep it from chipping at the top.

Have Fun with your new spine!

Dirt Maestro: I like your thinking. We aren't planning on stalls, but did embed a 2x8 into the top of the spine, you just can't see it in the pic. We simply drilled a few holes and ran some really long stakes through it to hold it in place. If our method fails (which it may), I'll suggest going your route.
